Google announced On Wednesday, its AI feature that lets users try on clothes virtually is expanding to Australia, Canada and Japan. The tech giant also announced the feature that users can now try on shoes virtually.

The feature asks users to upload a photo to see how real clothes might look on them. Now, users can imagine how different pairs of shoes will look on them.

To try on a pair of shoes virtually, users need to tap any product listing on Google, select the “Try It On” button, then add a full-length photo of themselves. After a few seconds, they will see the shoes from the list on a digital version of themselves. Users have the option to save the image or share it with others.

The launch comes two months after Google introduced the ability for users to virtually try on clothes using AI. While Google already offered virtual try-on technology, earlier features focused on showing items on the bodies of a variety of models. With the new AI feature, the company started allowing users to try clothes on a virtual version of their body.

Google is investing in the virtual try-on space in other ways, too. In June, the tech giant launched an experimental app called Doppel, which uses AI to imagine how different outfits would look on you.

While the virtual try-on feature, which now also includes shoes, and Doppel are powered by the same generic AI technology, Doppel is designed to let shoppers go even deeper into the virtual try-on, helping them curate their personal style. Plus, Doppel can create AI-generated videos so users can better understand how the dress would look on them in real life.

Google isn’t the only company to launch virtual try-on technology, as both Amazon and Walmart have introduced similar features.
