Sony Xperia 1 VI was launched in May 2024 with a Snapdragon 8 General 3 SoC and Triple rear cameras. Now, Sony is set to release Xperia 1 VII as the successor of last year’s Xperia 1 VI. A publication saw a new Sony handset on Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC) website, and listing reveals the design and color options of the alleged Sony Xperia 1 VII. This model number is associated with XQ-FSXX. The render shows three cameras and a headphone jack.

Japanese website Sumaho Digest Shared Alleged Sony Xperia 1 VII live images. The images that are sour from the Taiwanese certification site NCC show the phone in black, navy green and purple options. For comparison, Sony Xperia 1 VI arrived in black, platinum silver and khaki green options.

The renders show Xperia 1 VII with minimal design changes compared to their predecessor. Sony appears to stick to the triple rear camera setup for the new phone, and the sensor is arranged vertically on the rear panel. Headphone Jack, which is also present on the current model, is also seen in the image.
The leaked images suggest that the main camera of the phone located in the center will be equipped with an Examor-T sensor. According to publication, handset model number XQ-FSXX.
The report states that Sony Xperia 1 VII would be 165 mm long and 74 mm wide. This dimension can make the new phone a little longer than Sony Xperia 1 VI, which is 162 mm long and 74 mm width.
From the beginning of this month, recently leaked claimed that Sony Xperia 1 VII would sports the same 6.5 -inch screen as Xperia 1 VI, which has big bezels on both ends. This is likely to be the first Sony smartphone to run on Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset.
Sony Xperia 1 VI was unveiled in May 2024 with an early price tag of EUR 1,299 (about Rs 1,17,400) for the 12GB+256GB model. It runs on Snapdragon 8 General 3SOC and has a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary Sony Examor tea sensor, 12-megapixel ultravide sensor and 12-megapixel zoom camera. There is a 12-megapixel front camera for phone selfie. It carries a 5,000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging.
