Claire Obeskur of Game Informer: In the Expedition 33 Review, I wrote how I appreciated the restraint of the game in establishing my sad world. Especially at the beginning, the world can be misleading, and it often occurs for its benefits. But along with this, there are still some details that I wanted I knew before starting.
Perhaps you have only heard that Claire Aubskur: Expedition is a good game (it is!) And you want to jump into the blind, but I would really recommend watching the game review trailer. Don’t worry – it does not spoil any major story elements, but it sets the base of the game straightforward which is helpful when you are getting your feet under your feet in the beginning.

If you come here to read about the game and do not watch the video, then there is the original outline. In the world of Claire Aubskur, Lumire people live under the oppressive thumb of pain – a mysterious, huge creature who is seen at a distance that draws a number on a mountain column. This number decides how many years people are allowed to live. If you are 33 years old and pulls the number of pain 33 on the column, you experience gomez, which means that you die by evaporating in the dust of flowers. Interestingly, Gomez translates to Gomez Exfoliation or Scrub in French, which seems appropriate.
It probably goes without saying that there is a lot for the story, but I was grateful that I understood that original base before starting.

Translation
The developer sandfall is located in the interactive France, and it is incredibly clear in the game, and not only due to the beautiful melting Eiffel Tower. French New Wave Cinema and France has both belle époque period Clear motivation and characters sometimes use French words (eg “gomez”). Here is a small, but important vocabulary that helps you know what the characters are saying when they ever throw into the French word.
- Merde – s ** t
- Putan – Damn
- Maman – Mother
- Gomez – Exfoliation or Scrub
Along with those story and learning details, I also have some useful gameplay tips.
Master countering, even if it means to die while practicing
Dodging and countering is important, especially if you are playing on normal or difficult difficulties. The doding window is slightly larger than the counter window, so when you face new enemies or move to a boss, use the ability of dodge to hang time, and shift to the countering when you feel comfortable. However, I would say that it is worth hanging of countering, even if it means fighting the same enemy or boss a few times. Outposts are very favorable, so death is usually not a major punishment.
Performing Mode is your friend
To some extent, this is generally a matter of personal priority. Some people prefer quality mode, which improves visual, but reduces frimitteer. Game developers definitely want to play in quality mode because it is almost always default. I am a performance mode person (better frimitted at the expense of visuals), so I will always go in that direction. But I think it is particularly helpful in Claire Obscur, it is important to consider timely to countering and dodge. The performance mode just makes everything a little smooth. You can find the option in the graphics tab in the Settings menu. Here is the first one.

You cannot promote health items, so not
Health items Claire act as an Estus flask in dark soles in Obeskur. They refresh every campaign on the flag, which means the only reason for hanging on them is that if you need them later in the middle of a fight. You can also fix outside the war with a separate health item called Croma Elixir, and this item is similarly refreshed at every checkpoint. There are tones of posts, so don’t be shy.
Try different weapons, but stick to your favorite
Every weapon in the game can be leveled in a similar way, so the damage output is not as important as you find what you like. You will definitely find high-level weapons that do more base damage as your progress, and you should switch on them when you find them, but at a certain point, when you have a good library of weapons, find with a capabilities that you like and use currency. For example, I found a one that lets me attack twice in a turn, so I level it and took it to all the way till the end of the game. In addition, leveling the related skills of that character gives priority, as each weapon connects its ability to its special data of its fielder. If you turn into a new weapon, it is worth the topical reaction to your character’s abilities.
Shoot flying enemies
If they are floating above the ground, it means that they will usually dodge your original attacks. The best way is to go to full Indiana jones and just shoot them,

Explaining Pictos and Lumina
Pictos and Lumina Claire are alternative tools of Obeskur that do interesting and useful things. Each character has three slots for pictos, which increase statistics such as health or strength, and for example, also give specific bonuses like an additional action point during the combat.
The specific bonus that provides a pictose (such as additional action points referred to above is called its lumina. Each character can be equipped with only three pictos, but there is a separate menu that allows you to equip many more lumina, and you can expand the number of lumina that you can equip with the currency found in the game. This Claire is one of the more complex systems in Obscur, but if you want to keep it simple, just make sure that you have three pictos equipped, and check the Lumina menu from time to time to ensure that you have many of them what you can do.
