Advice for engineers advising Henry Shamuli’s career

Henry ShamuliCofounder Broadcom And this advice is for 2025 recipients of IEEE Medal of Honor, engineering students and recent graduates to start on their careers:

    • “Do not do engineering for money. Do this because it can have an effect, because you enjoy doing it, and because you like to do it. If you have an impact on society, the money is as follows.”
    • “Take your college education forward as far as you can. I know that there are people who say, ‘You don’t even need college education,’ but statistically, it is stupid. Stem professionals pay the average salary paid to the stem professionals.
    • “Stay away from social media. Social media can be very harmful. And this is just a huge time. You are going under the chariots finally which are completely useless.”
    • “If you are lucky enough to be successful, don’t forget to give back. One of the most rewarding things you can do in your life is giving less lucky people than them.”
