Most Android smartphones today support some forms of fast charging, but in the US, many devices still ships with large batteries that lack true fast charging support. So I prefer fast charging on battery capacity when choosing a new smartphone.

Fast charging is just more convenient
The phones with 5,000 or even 6,000 mAh battery are great, as most of them are through a whole day of use, even for heavy users. However, the problem with some of them is that they do not really support charging. Proper fast charging means that I do not have to worry about when or where I charge my phone. Even if I forget to plug it overnight, I can still quickly up during a short break before exiting it.
I have felt it more and more using the best mid-range phone, Google Pixel 9A. It comes with a large 5,100mAh battery, which is actually the largest battery in the pixel phone. However, it only supports 23W wired charging. This means that it takes about two hours to reach a full fee, which is inconvenient when I am in the crowd.
In contrast, the phone like OnePlus 13 supports 80W charging and reaches the entire capacity in about half an hour. I need this kind of facility. Even if I forget to charge overnight, I can plug it for a few minutes in the morning and still walk out of the door with enough battery to get it through the day. Given, the cost of OnePlus 13 is almost double compared to Pixel 9A, but fast charging is necessary for most people.

It keeps my battery healthy
One of the shortcomings of using the phone with a large battery and slow charging is that you often have to charge up to 100% to ensure that it lasts for the whole day. But with fast charging, I don’t worry about it anymore. At my OnePlus 13, I have set a limit to charge only 80%, knowing that even if it falls less, I can quickly up it in a few minutes.
This approach also helps with battery health. Charging a phone from 0% to 100% frequently can cause more wear and tears over time. By limiting the charge of your phone to 80%, I avoid too much stress and keep it in a better shape. Certainly, the charge cycle can be more often, but most modern batteries are designed to handle. Charging them up to 80% makes more understanding than recharging them to zero them and recharge them.

Not worried over battery percentage
We are all there – when your battery collides 10%, and you are nowhere to a charger. With such phones that gradually charge, this tension quickly creates, especially if you, like me, rely on your phone for everything from work to navigation. Fast charging has originally eliminated that concern for me.
Even if I forget to charge my phone or run it down while exiting, I know that I need a quick plug-in for a few minutes, and I’m good. When I see a red icon, I do not pay attention to keeping my battery above 50% or above terror. Charging just five to ten minutes is enough to go for hours. It sounds like a small difference, but in real life, it is a very large.

Battery life continuously drought? We know the spirit. The reason here is that your phone battery keeps dying.

This is better in my everyday routine
I am not a person who likes to leave his phone on the charger all night. While most phones now provide features like adaptive charging, which fully charging just before you wake up, I like to charge my phone for about half an hour, while I am taking a shower or doing other domestic work.
As mentioned earlier, it is the place where fast charging fits perfectly in my routine. I do not need to keep a plug on my OnePlus 13 overnight, because whenever I need it, it charges quickly.
Everyone said and did, fast charging is one of the few techniques that have actually changed how to use their smartphones. When I used Google Pixel 7 Pro as my daily driver, I had to deal with continuous charge overnight and to make sure that I would make it through the day.
Now, those concerns are gone. I can rely on my phone when to charge it. A large part of it also comes from solid battery life on OnePlus 13, but fast charging plays a big role in running everything smoothly.
