- Google Pixel leaks a new VIPS feature for the phone

Google Google Pixel phone is ready to give users a major update with a new VIP option, which will make it easier to connect with your close friends and family and on the phone
This update appeared unexpectedly for some Google Pixel owners over the weekend, and included references to a service called ‘Pixel VIP’.
Based on the details shared by 9to5google – Play Store Listing shared for Pixel VIP is no longer available at the time of writing – VIP looked a special level over your existing favorite contacts.
They are marked with an additional green heart symbol, and tapping on their contact icon – or using the VIP widget – will take you to the page giving details of the information about them. You will be able to see when you joined them for the last time, how far they are, how far the weather is with them, and what is their time area, and in the end, the notes you have made. In the screenshot of the app we see that a user has left a reminder about his friend’s dog’s name, that they need a new yoga mat and important details from their lives.
It appears that the app also suggests you possible activities with the option to refine the options that you can do together.
Google Pixel’s best new feature?
Honestly, a lot of it seems really useful and can be one of the best new phone features seen in 2025 so far.
I am not the biggest fan of trekking people – although it appears that this feature can be togle for specific VIP contacts based on screenshots – but otherwise it looks like an ideal tool.
I am terrible with names, so I will remember that my friend has a pet or brother, but can struggle to remember what they are called, and I definitely made mental notes about possible great gift ideas that they said and forgot immediately after an hour.
Even AI activity suggestions work.
The same is easy to enter the routine of hangout, so I definitely appreciate suggestions for various things that you are similar to activities you and VIPs already enjoy. Yes, other AIs can already offer uniform service, but this device is integrated into your contact page instead of a completely different app.
Unfortunately it is not clear when this ‘VIP’ facility can be launched.
While an update seems to have been rolled out, Google has also mentioned it – it was a mistake to suggest the update.
What is more, it has not yet appeared in Android 16 beta, nor was it discussed on Google I/O 2025, although it does not mean that it is far from years away.
I hope that it is on its way to Android soon, and that the Samsung Galaxy phone offers such a feature for users – otherwise it can still add another point, which can add another point to the growing list of reasons for switching me to Google Pixel.
