A smart sensor assessed the risk of my home power fire, and I was impressed

    Maria Diaz/ZD

I had Ting The smart sensor monitors the electrical system of my house and assesses the risk of electric fire for months, and I am pleasant to surprise how informative the process has been.

Ting has an easy installation – no wiring or electricity. You only need to plug it to start it. Once you download the Ting Mobile App, you can connect the sensor to Wi-Fi. You will have to wait a few weeks for tinge so that you can familiarize yourself with the electrical system of your home, before it gives you a constant update.

After learning your home, the ting sensor monitors electrical current 24/7, looking for issues in wiring, outlets and even equipment. Originally, the ting monitors all the electrical in your home that can bounce an electrical fire, including the incoming power. It also looks at your home voltage, power outage and upcoming storms that can cause you to lose electricity.

Ting detects electrical issues that you may not otherwise know, which can potentially start fire. These may include loose or damaged connections, such as cords, worn insulation, overload and faulty equipment.

Also: Unplugging these 7 common home appliances reduced my electricity bills a lot.

In addition to detecting important issues in electricity, ting arking can detect small electric sparks that can be caused by age, poor installation or poor construction. These skintilation are initial warning signs that turn into large issues below the road, such as tripped breakers or lightning fire.

Why do I recommend this product

Ting Smart sensor is one of the easiest ways to achieve additional insights in the electrical position of your home. When the change occurs, it alerts you, when the risk of electric fire increases.

Even if a tinge sensor does not replace the smoke alarm, an alarm only warns you after the fire and the smoke is detected. Conversely, a ting tells you about the possibility of fire before the fire. However, not all fire is caused by electrical issues, so it is still mandatory to have reliable smoke alarm, tinge sensor or not.

Beyond monitoring electrical safety, I think the ting informs me about power outage and even provides insight into nearby outages and potential risks for a one in my house. When I am away, the ting also tells me about severe weather alert and a wide log when electricity went out and when the service was restored.
