Hunter Connect T7 Wi-Fi 7 Aries Router: One-minute review
Acer gaming is famous for its hunter range of PC and display, but the company also makes several Wi-Fi routers and Aries systems that are also designed for gaming. The hunter range has several models, including some very inexpensive Wi-Fi 6 routers, but the fasting fastened fastened predeater is the Connect T7 Aries router on the top of the range, which can provide ‘wise-level delays’ for severe gamers with Acer’s claim Lightning Fast Reflex, possibly one of the best gaming rootters.
Its rigid rectangular design may not be too much to see, but the T7 provides state-of-the-art Wi-Fi performance with Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7, providing the top speed of 11GBPS. And, as the name suggests, you can buy additional T7 routers and use together to create a far-reaching Aries Wi-Fi system for large homes.
Of course, those characteristics will probably be overskall for many-e-e-e-e-Fi 7 if you are still using Wi-Fi 7-but T7 is competitively priced for high-end routers, and will surely appeal to hard-core gaming audiences.

Tracking Acer products can sometimes be a bit difficult, as it often depends on third-party retailers to stock their products. Customers in the US are lucky as they can buy T7 direct from ASer’s own website for $ 329.99, which is a similar price for Netgear’s Nighthock RS300 that runs on 9.3GBPS.
We were also happy to know that T7 does not require an additional membership for parents’ control and safety facilities, so it is definitely a competitively price for such a high-end model. Customers in the UK, Australia and other fields will have to be seen online, Amazon and other sites will be sold for £ 236.22/AU $ 699.
Hunter Connect T7 Wi-Fi 7 Aries Router: Design

The T7 has a quite tame design for the gaming router. You get a black or white option for the main covering, and a style ‘mask’ on the top panel is LED, but it is mainly used to provide status information, and T7 does not have the effects offered by over-the-top RGB Prakash and some of its gaming rivals.
Instead, the T7 opposed to a rectangular obbisk that is 212 mm high, so you will need a shelf or table, when you are setting it, a shelf or table with a bit with quite room will need a shelf or table.
A modest inequality is that the on/off switch is cleverly hidden at the base of the router, while the power connector appears more on the back panel. Quickstart guides and long PDF manuals that we downloaded from Acer’s website fail to mention it, just asking you to plug into the power connector and then download the hunter app. This wondered why the router was not working when I first plugged it – until I turned it upside down and the power switch below was brought down.
The back panel is not excluded at all with other ports and connectors, either. There is a 2.5 gigabit ethernet port for a high -speed broadband connection, but it is disappointing that such a high -end router involves only two 1GB ethernet port that provides a wired connection to a PC or game console. There is also a USB-C port on the back, which will allow you to connect a hard drive or other storage devices to your network. Again, however, it only supports the aging USB 2.0 standard, which is disappointing.

It is also a bit upset that you are forced to create an account with Acer, before you can use the hunter connect app to start. However, the app offers many useful features that will appeal to gamers and more experienced users. The more common spectators will try to keep things by merging different frequency bands of several routers routers into the same network, but T7 forms three separate networks using 2.4GHz, 5.0GHz and 6.0GHz bands. This allows you to reserve high-speed 6.0GHz band for gaming, while you connect other devices to 2.4GHz or 5.0GHz band.
A QOS option-the quality of the service-which allows you to prioritize high-bandwidth functions such as gaming or streaming videos for specific devices. T7 provides even useful safety facilities and parents control without the need for additional membership as some of its rival.
The app is sometimes slightly zealous, and if you do not know what ‘band steering’ or ‘net acceleration’ means you can struggle with the app many times. The manual of Acer also really makes a miscreant mistake of listing the facilities without telling how they work, so you will need a network of network to take maximum advantage of the hunter app.

The T7 creates three networks on the separate frequency band, but with its top speed of 11GBPS, there is no surprise to find out that it also runs on the slowest 2.4GHz band on my aging office router.
Our office internet service provides a top speed of 150Mbps, but my normal router can only manage 80Mbps on the 2.4GHz band, when the router runs Ookla Speed Test for the equipment passing into the same room as a router.
Steam downloads are worse with only 40Mbps continuous speed. The 5.0GHz band is a bit better, but still can manage 120Mbps on only Ookla speed test, and 100Mbps for steam download. Even worse, the fact is that both frequency bands struggle to reach an office behind the building, forcing me to use Ethernet cable to provide a wired connection.
Unexpectedly, T7 takes it in its stride. Its slow 2.4GHz band hits 125Mbps for Ookla and Steam Downloads in both locations, while 5.0GHz and 6.0GHz simply shrink their shoulders and give us a kind look because they also give a maximum wind in our back office Deadzone at the maximum speed of 150Mbps.
Of course, the top speed of T7’s 11GBPS will be a large-scale overs for many homes, but if you are a curious gamer who wants a sharp, leg-free Wi-Fi for competitive gaming, it is difficult to defeat the hunter T7. Then, it is a router that is not going to be strictly for today’s gaming (or business) market, but for the near future (or enthusiastic) instead. If you want to be on the cutting edge, you can be for a price.
