Summary
-
Acer released his own arch B580 and ARC A380, extending options for Intel GPU buyers only.
-
The ARC A380 has 8 XE-Cores, 6GB GDDR6 memory and a fair price point, in which Acer is leading in this way.
-
Arc B580, with 20 XE2-CORES and 12GB GDDR6 memory, performs better than A380, providing more price for money in Intel’s lineup.
If you are looking at the Intel Card as an alternative to Nvidia/AMD Duopoly, you must have found that the custom arch card manufacturers do not have a complete ton. Acer has revealed a couple of Custom Intel Card, however, your options have just widened a bit. And one of them is completely small.
Acer has just launched a couple of third-party Intel Card-ese Nitro Intel Arc B580 and Acer Nitro Intel Arc A380. The former new generation is XE2 GPU, while the latter is the old generation card, but both are still very good options.
Intel Arc A380 was launched in June 2022, but many custom variants were never. As a reminder, A380 is built on the alchemist architecture (with a TSMC N6 process), which depends on 8 XE-Cores, 1024 shedding units, 6GB GDDR6 memory in the 96-bit bus, and a graphics of 2000 MHZs (up to 2050 MHz or with higher models with higher models. So it is not that it was a particularly bad card by any stretch of imagination, especially for its intended market section. This is not very good, but it is cheaper.
The big news here is that it is a low-profile GPU, which means that it should be able to fit without taking too much space in a thin case. The options for small GPUs have recently reduced, and in fact, they have moved in the opposite way – they now take a lot of space, and this is something that you really have to think about thinking while buying a PC. This is not the best of the bunch, but it can fit in lots of cases, even small.
The new arch B580 was released on December 2024 and uses the new Battlemage Architecture (with the TSMC N5 process). It has 20 XE2-Cores, 2560 shedding units, but this 192-bit bus offers GDDR6 memory more generous 12GB and 2.85 gHz around much overfined watches. Despite the fact that we have technically low core, architectural improvement and high -clock speed B580 typically allows to perform better than A580, reportedly some benchmarks allegedly up to 30%.
Acer already sold a sku of B580, and this is just another option that comes in the way of a good white color. A380 SKU, however, is really new.
If you want to check the Intel Arc Card, you had options, including Intel’s own first-party “founding version” cards-which are marked as a limited version-and a handful of JPU manufacturers including Gunir and Errock. However, most big players have not cared for an entire herd about Intel cards and are stuck as their main products with NVidia and AMD cards. I think Intel is entitled to love what he gets, though. Its cards may not be the best of bunch right now, but they are very cheap and they provide decent explosions for your deer, which is relatively rare in the GPU world.

Acer did not provide us pricing for these cards, but the cost of ARC B580 is $ 319.99 in its black color, so this new white should be spent in the same way. We do not have pricing for ARC A380 SKU, but it can usually be found under $ 200 as it is a basic budget GPU. As a plus, ARC A380 seems to have a lot of third-party skis or all are out of stock, so Acer has this cake.
