The WWDC 2025 is in the rear-verse mirror, and it would be appropriate to say that there was a lot to be excited about it, even with Apple (wisely), bypassing his broad apple intelligence upgradation.
The iPad Gating True Window Management was a great extra, while the new design language on all platforms is sure to focus a major focus in September. But relatively distant, almost as a footnote, the reminder promised more features to come for the reminder – and to see those characteristics could really find me to get away from 3 things.
Let me explain
Talk here
The ‘Things’ app of the cultured code is, as anyone uses, he will tell you, the sacred grave of UI design. It is a task manager who looks so good, even Apple himself could not do a better job, and it is my Go-Two organizational tool for the best part of a decade. It is a powerful tool for that case the best MacBook and Mac – or any of any Apple device using any person using.
I use the app on my Mac, my iPad, my iPhone and my Apple Watch, even add a task with an action button shortcut on my phone. And yet, I find myself wandering from the way. It is not that 3 things are less magical when I started using it; This is just that so many rivals have stopped the difference.
Things remain an easy place to dump 3 tasks, file them in classes, and enjoy that serotonin hit when you tick them. There is nothing wrong in this, but it is recalling some of the major features that its rivals now provide.
There is no shared reminder list, so my wife can add things to me, and there is no web version, either. This ‘True’ Siri is also lacking, which means that I must essentially enter my tasks in the reminder and if I want to decide them, they have to sink for 3 things.
So – what if i Was not Sink them? What if I just, you know, used Apple Reminder to run my life?
Re -system
I use perception as a database to run my working life, but things are where my day-to-day luggage. Every night, I load it with tasks for the morning, and every morning, I start checking them.
But what if my wife needs to grab something from the shop? What if I want to ask Siri through carplay to add something to my daily list? These are things where reminder will do great work, but this is not new. In fact, Apple has been doing a ton work in the reminder over the years, so what is thinking about switching me now?
As a writer, I amware of AI. Trained models on materials that I have worked hard are always worth having a careful eye, but I accept that there is a lot in machine learning (and no, I do not mean that those terrible notification summary).
This year, with iOS 26 and Macos Tahoe (and mixed other Apple OS releases), Apple Intelegals will be integrated into the reminder, so that it can automatically assess what the next action item should be. Confirm that one of my freelance articles has been published? It would be great to pop a task to challan it. Make a note from a meeting? It will be a super assistant to have space to send the details later.
The app will also be able to work wisely to which list your tasks should go to, which means less time is spent in the right places to furnish.
I can go ahead of myself (and I am not sure if an AI functionality is currently to test in the current beta), but even if it is not a reminder I don’t move forward (I still love that UI), I think 3 (or certainly a fourth version) can do with more forward thinking on the update front.
Can things add 4?
Okay then: Crooked Code, are you listening? There are a handful of things that are a long time users such as I would like to see in a possible ‘things 4’.
For one, I will prefer in the morning/afternoon/evening as different time (currently it is just day and evening), which can then allow for more granularity with order -ordering tasks.
A web app also needs one (some of us use Windows, Y’KNow?), While a collaborative list option can make things even better for small business owners like ourselves. And hey, a kanaban scene means that I do not have to work with perception and have also been thrown into things.
