AIRBNB guests in the US can now book their stay without paying the front “using the company’s new” “Now reserve, pay later” Policy.
Traditionally, AirBNB guests had to pay when booking or through payment scheme, which when it comes to cancellation of trips, can cause headaches. Now, guests can book and pay later, making them more time to work out finance out or finalize travel plans with others in their group.

But don’t worry, hosts: The cancellation of airbnb is not going to change in the wild west. Guests still pay the entire amount, this simply occurs after a while, before the end of the free cancellation period of the listing, which you set yourself (and the guests are reminiscent of the time limit).

Guests using “Reserve Now, Pay Later” will still have to pay before the end of free cancellation period, so that the hosts get time to secure another booking.

Why is AirbnB now introducing the reserve, pay later?
Airbnb conducted a customer experience survey, so that guests to get a better understanding of what guests want during stay.
According to the report, 60% of the respondents stated that it was important to have a flexible payment option while making reservation, and more than half the respondents (55%) said they use flexible payment options for the journey.
