Alienware AW3423DWF has popularized QD-OLED technology for gaming displays and has long been in our best gaming monitor list. Its successor, alienware AW3425DW, has everything that made the original great, as well as many major updates. The fact is that its cost $ 799 only makes this device more unmistakable.

As before, you get a beautiful 1800r curved panel with an ultravide 21: 9 aspect ratio. Now, the new monitor sports a flat stand that takes less space than the triangle stand of the previous model. It also seems very thankful to its “Interstater Indigo” chassis.

Performance-wise, AW3425DW can run at a smooth 240Hz refresh rate, a good upgrade from its predecessors 165Hz. The time of the response is now fast at 0.03ms, which is perfect for the fast-based first-person shooters or twitch RTS games. Mix with that sharp 1440p resolution and vivid colors, and you get a great gaming experience.

Although I want the alienware to have bright HDR in the AW3425DW, it is the only qualification that I have with an otherwise incredible gaming monitor. What it provides at a relatively low cost compared to its rivals, AW3425DW is a full winner. Find out why in my entire review.

    Alienware AW3425DW Review: UPS

The alienware AW3425DW is about the perfect gaming monitor for its smooth design, wide picture quality and smooth gaming performance.

    Lovely design

Alienware AW3425DW retains some aspects of the design of its predecessors when updating others. This makes a monitor for which not only looks great, but is practical for both gaming and everyday tasks.

As before, the 1800R curvature of the panel does an excellent job of drowning you in whatever game you are playing. I prefer this panel on LG Ultragier 45GX950A-B at more aggressive 800R winding performance. 21: 9 aspect ratio helps the game feel more cinematic and gives you more space for apps and windows.

Except for the iconic alienware logo on the back, it is free from monitor ornamentation. If you want AW3425DW a little more flair, then people have alienfax lighting. The panel measures 32.05 x 14.23 x 4.38 inches, and the whole thing weighs 17.9 pounds with a stand. It is not small and light at all, but it is also not difficult to install and walk.

Instead of a V-shaped legs, this monitor now has a flat stand that takes a much less space on your desk, allowing the best gaming keyboard and more space for the best gaming mouse. The shaft of the stand has a cut -out for cable management, which helps to keep your desk streamlined. Certainly, the stand is now somewhat boring, but it keeps the monitor less cumbersome on your desk. And if he does not work for you, you can mount the monitor on your wall on its back through Vesa Mount.

Like the previous model, you can increase or reduce the screen over a 4.3 -inch period with the shaft of the stand. You can tilt it even further to backward -5 degrees or 21 degrees. The screen also rotates both left and right at 20 degrees. Tilling and swinging the display at your favorite viewing angle is as comfortable as before.

You get a good number of ports on the back. This includes HDMI 2.1 port, a displayport, a USB-A, One USB-B and a single USB-C port. The ports have an OSD (on-screen display) joystick, and you can use it to enter and navigate the monitor display settings.

    Vivid QD-Olad Performance

    Alienware AW3425DW

The QD-Old panel is the star of the show here. It saves excellent contrast between dark and light elements, while 1800R curvature keeps you immersed and concentrated. Combine with vivid colors and 21: 9 aspect ratio, and you get a great gaming experience. And don’t worry that this is not a 4K display, as everything looks gorgeous at 3,440 x 1,440 resolution. Trust me, your eyes will not be disappointed.

I tested Doom: Dark Edge and Cyberpank 2077 on AW3425DW and how amazing they appeared. This monitor usually distributes oversted colors, which creates holograms and neon signals in cyberpank 2077 which is actually pop. 21: 9 aspect ratio also ensures that demons do not get a drop on me in doom: dark era.

Our laboratory tests confirm my decentralized tests. In its standard display mode, AW3425DW produces good colored accuracy (delta-E) as well as oversized color (SRGB and DCI-P3). HP Omen Transcandand 32 distributes more oversted colors in its standard mode, but LG Ultragier 32GS95ue-B has more accurate colors.

The alienware AW3425DW has 11 display modes, which are five more than the previous model. There are modes dedicated to game styles such as FPS, RTS and sports. The monitor also has a manufacturer mode, which has better color accuracy for video and photo editors. Except for the latter, the mode is only slightly different from each other, which is based on their function.

    Innocent performance

    Alienware AW3425DW

AW3425DW performs like a dream like a dream for its smooth 240Hz refresh rate and rapidly 0.03ms reaction time. These two are upgraded by 165Hz and the previous model from 0.1MS. Compatibility with Nvidia G-SYNC and AMD FREESYNC also helps in giving smooth gaming performance.

For my testing, I had a poor -gag gaming PC connected to the AW3425DW Alienware Area -51 that packing an Intel Core Ultra 9 CPU, an NVDia RTX 5090 GPU and 64 GB RAM. Although you do not require such a powerful PC for AW3425DW, it does not hurt by rigging an animal running games at a high frame rate.

I reviewed Doom: Dark Age on a PS5 Pro, where the game tops 60 frames per second. I immediately felt the difference when playing it on a monitor of about 230 FPS on a monitor with the fresh rate for the match. Not only I was playing better, but I did not even experience a sign of the screen tearing or chopness. If there was an input gap, I did not notice it. Needless to say, AW3425DW performs unprecedented performance.

    Simple user interface

    Alienware AW3425DW

The alienware AW3425DW has the same original interface similar to its predecessor. As before, the UI features a black and gray background with blue and white lettering. This is where you will find a bunch of display mode and settings to adjust the lighting and more. There is a lot to throw through, but it becomes easy for a clean UI to find out what you need.

OSD joystick used for sorting through the menu is very sensitive and easy to reach. Despite being so small, it is a good hardness.

    Alienware AW3425DW Review: Downs

Alienware AW3425DW has everything you want from gaming monitor. However, it suffers from an issue that is specific to OLED monitor.

    Dull disgust

    Alienware AW3425DW

If you have read any of my OLED gaming monitor reviews, you will know that my main complaint is their relatively low HDR mode. While the AW3425DW has vivid color and fast picture quality, do not expect highly bright HDR.

    245 (native) | 241 (HDR)

    255.8 (standard) | 262 (HDR)

In general, AW3425DW saves about 250 NITs of HDR shine in 100% of the screen. It is still quite good for everything to come clearly, but it is not overall super bright. But for its credit, the panel can hit about 420 knots of brightness at 10% of the screen, meaning that you will see good contradictions on bright elements.

The HDR glow of this monitor is not a deal breaker as it conforms to other OLED gaming monitors. He said, it would have been good if the panel would have been a little bright than the competition.

    Alienware AW3425DW Review: Decision

Alienware AW3425DW is a great update for its predecessor. It retains the excellent picture quality as before, but now has better performance and a more streamlined design. The fact is that its cost is only $ 799, only icing on cosmic cake.

However, if you are looking for more affordable monitor with bright HDR, $ 599 Alienware 27 4K dual-resolution is a solid option. Similarly, $ 729 LG Ultragier 45GR75DC is another great option if you want a 45 -inch curved gaming monitor.

On one hand, minor complaints, alienware AW3425DW is a great gaming monitor for someone about someone. If you do not want to break the bank on the monitor to pair with your PC or console, you will not go wrong with AW3425DW.
