I do not know about you, but a film ever shares the same vibes as “dye hard”, but in a separate setting, I am immediately on board. Lift? Sure. plane? Even better. Submarine? Okay, now we are talking.
Amazon has officially confirmed “sabotage”, a new action-thriller starring Chris Hemsworth, and it looks exactly the same as clustrophobic chaos that can make for a great popcorn film.
Flicks is being constructed by Amazon MGM Studio and will be directed by Patrick Vollath, known for “7500”, which also keeps the audience in a limited location with increasing stress so that the tone is tested.

The “subversion” is scheduled to start filming in Australia at the end of this year, and while we have not yet to release the release, the setup alone has eager me (and already sweating a little).
Hemsworth has played the role of a Navy commander, forced into a dangerous mission when a powerful criminal syndicate blackmails him to navigate a submarine pack with illegal cargo through international seas.
We have seen Hemsworth Swing Hammers, fight fare, and remove people from war areas, but sees it navigating the pressure of a submarine thriller. It is possible Be the most intense so far. So it is safe to say that “sabotage” (good word in the title) is officially on my radar.
What else do we know about ‘sabotage’?
Along with this news, we also have a synopsis that reads: “Chris Hemsworth plays the role of one-time vulnerable naval commander, which is blackmailed by an operation like a cartel to pilot a dangerous submarine, carrying illegal cargo in international water, which gives him to a high-specide game.
As mentioned earlier, “sabotage” is described as “hard dying on a submarine”, which I am sure that its main sales point will be. And honestly, that kind of lift pitch works. It immediately sets tone and vibe without the need for a complete synopsis.
If the previous action roles of Hemsworth are any indications, we may probably expect some intensive close-fourth match and at least a hull-teej explosion (if I won’t be disappointed).
The script writer for “sabotage” comes from the author Andrew Ferguson, with experienced producer Lorenzo de Baventura, through his Di Bonventura Pictures banner, has supported the project. Currently, the production has been slated to stop this decline in Australia.
I always had a soft place for the thriller vested thriller because the pressure cooker setting is something that crank stress up to eleven. If the “sabotage” bends into that clustrophobia and gives the hemsworth room to dig into some dark color, it can be more than just another action flicks. The fingers crossed it, something fast and a little untoward.
There is no word yet on the estimated release date or whether “sabotage” will hit theaters or go directly to Prime Video. Meanwhile, if you are looking to see something, see what is new on Prime Video in May 2025.
