If you want to live on the bleeding age of Android update, or you are a developer who needs to test the apps on the upcoming Android release, there is some good news. Google is overhaling the complex Android developer preview in a new canary channel.
New major updates for Android have traditionally started because the developer preview makes pixel phones and tablets (and nexus devices in good old days), which must be there Flash with a computer on a USB connectionAfter some of them release, Google releases a beta version, and then a final version is eventually available. If you stay on the beta program, whenever you are available, you are automatically enrolled in the beta versions of the next Android release. However, when the first developer preview of the next Android release came, you had to flash your device to try it again.
Google has announced a new canary release channel for Android operating system, replacing the developer preview program. If you decide to install it on a supported pixel phone, you get a continuous stream of the latest platform via over-the-air (OTA) update. As soon as they are available, you get new features and fixes, and when the first construction is ready for the next major Android release, they are automatically pushed to you.
This is similar to how Microsoft Hands the Windows Insider Canary/Dev Channel, and it reflects the existing release channels for the Chrome web browser. If you need state -of -the -art Android experience, bug and all, the canary is for you. The existing beta channel is sticking all around, which will be found with new Android release and (expected) with low bug and stability problems after canary.
Google said in a blog post, “Canary channel is intended to developers who already want to find out and test with pre-proven Android APIs and potential behavioral changes. Builds from the canary channel have passed our automatic tests and should also experience a small test cycle with internal users.
There are not many people who need to try the initial construction of Android, but now this option is easier than ever, as long as you have a supported pixel device. There is no indication of release of initial test for phones and tablets from other manufacturers. Some of those companies offer beta release including OnePlus and Lenovo, but are not handled by Google.
