Apple launched only a new device coverage plan. Here’s how it works (and if you should get it)

    Apple

Apple launched only one new product coverage scheme, which was named Apple careTo offer comprehensive accident coverage to consumers up to $ 20 per month up to three apple equipment. This includes iPhones, Macbooks, iPads and Apple watches and airpods.

The benefits of the scheme include unlimited repair for damage, 24/7 live support from Apple experts, battery replacement in no additional fee and stolen coverage for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.

Also: Apple’s iOS 26 and iPados 26 Public Betus are now releasing any minute: what is expected

Coverage service is launched at a time when consumers are watching their equipment keeping in mind the longevity. Economic uncertainties mean that everyone is not going to springing for the latest iPhone, and Apple knows it all very well.

If you are wondering how it piles up against the current apple care coverage, the Apple Care consolidates a flat rate, instead of connecting them with individual products. The result is that consumers with many devices can save money with single flat fees – around $ 10 – especially if they suffer from accidents.

There are certainly some caves. The most important is that not each Apple device is eligible for coverage. To be added to the plan, the device must be less than four years old and “in good condition”. If it sounds a little unclear, it is, but a good rule of the thumb here is to consider whether the device is in good condition.

This means that scratch, dent and torn screen can disqualify a device from being eligible for coverage. But if you are just facing cosmetic losses, you can simply repair it, improve its opportunities for coverage.

The software and hardware of a product can be tested through Apple’s diagnostic tool, which will determine the eligibility of a device. During this process, you may also need to provide photos of the device to verify its condition.

The range of four -year -old products may also be a hard pill to swallow some consumers, as it draws the line in the MacBook M2 as the oldest qualified laptop. For iPhone, 13 chains will be as soon as possible, no pre -model can be covered.

In particular, however, Apple does not care where you got the device and whether it is new. This means that third -party reserves such as Amazon are eligible for rebuilt product coverage, as long as they are less than four years and in good condition.

    Is it worth it?

It depends. Watch regularly Apple Care Coverage, priced at $ 10 per month for an iPhone. If you are paying for three different phones ($ 30 per month) for three separate apple care subscriptions, yes, you will save with Apple Care One Plan.

If you are only paying for a single MacBook, however, that $ 3.49 monthly fee Apple Care cannot warrant the benefits of an additional monthly fee (although this is free battery replacement breathtaking).

It also depends on how hard you use your devices. If you are someone who is a slightly more accident prone (O, no decision), then it can be worth additional coverage for your iPhone, especially if it is a new model that you intend to keep for many years.

If you have old Apple devices, they are not eligible for Apple Care One, and you will have no option but to be with your current Apple Care Plan.

    How do you get it?

Apple Care A Plan will now be offered to anyone to purchase a new Apple product at the point of sales, but it is also available online, or also available through the Settings app on related equipment. Once you buy the plan, you choose the devices you want to add, whether they are new or older (up to four years, or one year for airpods). You can add or remove eligible products from the plan at any time.

Whether you have a device or three, the monthly fee is at $ 20, I would say that the plan works best for those who have three devices to cover. If you have more, you can add more to the plan at $ 5.99 a pop, although it quickly increases the price.
