Apple on Wednesday Pur: A new MacBook Air on its website offers a better performance by maintaining a familiar design. The new laptop is equipped with the M4 chip of Apple, which is the most recent addition to M-Series Chips Lineup.
MacBook Air comes in two sizes. Customers can choose between 13 inch and 15 -inch displays. The pricing begins at $ 999 for a 13-inch model, which is $ 100 less than the previous entry price of $ 1,099. Today and shipments begin on Wednesday, March 12.
This update maintains 16GB of RAM in the base configuration, unchanged from last year’s model. This means that entry-level MacBook Air still meets the minimum requirements for Apple Intelligence. Customers can upgrade the underlying memory to 32GB when purchasing a laptop.
The previous MacBook Air Model had two Thunderbolt 3 ports. Apple still provides two Thunderbolt port, but it is upgrading those ports to Thunderbolt 4. With those ports, you can plug up to two external displays and keep the underlying performance operational. Customers also get a Magsafe 3 charging port and a good old 3.5 mm headphone jack port.
The webcam is upgraded and now supports a software feature center stage, which currently holds the person talking to the center of the frame. Apple also provides a new color called Sky Blue. Three other colors (Midnight, Starlite and Silver) are still available.
While MacBook is lighter and more inexpensive than Air MacBook Pro, these advantages come with some trade-offs. For example, MacBook Pro provides long battery life and claims a mini-LED display with high pixel density.
Despite these differences, MacBook is one of the top-bound laptops due to its good balance between air performance and value. Although M4 update is not a radical change, it is likely to maintain strong sales similar to M3 MacBook Air.
Apple first introduced the M4 chip with iPad Pro in May 2024. In the last one year, the company has gradually infected its product lineup in the M4 chip with M4 Chips with MACBook Pro, MAC MINI, and IMAC with M4 chips or their Pro and Max variants.
