Apple overhell the shortcut app with AI-operated capabilities in WWDC 2025

It is said that Apple is re -preparing its shortcut app. An experienced journalist claims that Cupertino-based tech veterans can bring artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities run by Apple Intelligence-Ownership of features for iPhone, iPad and other equipment to AI Suit-shortcut app. The report states that although the Apple App and WWDC will demo the changes in 2025, public release can face the delay by 2026. Changes in the shortcut app may be able to engage users into natural language interactions for the construction of a special music playlist or other tasks.

Shortcut app overhaul

In the latest version of Power on newspaperMark Gurman of Bloomberg highlighted Apple’s plans to overhall his shortcut app. Changes will be announced in the reportedly worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025 which is closed on 9 June at Apple Park, California. The project is expected to be part of a large push towards improving AI integration in Apple apps and operating systems.

According to Gurman, the revised shortcut app may allow users to create custom interactions using Apple Intelligence Model. For example, they will reportly be able to launch certain characteristics or play a selected playlist using AI-operated shortcuts on Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad and MAC.

While WWDC 2025 is likely to be the destination where the Apple Shortcuts previews its overhaul of the app, not all of them can be released immediately. Gurman noted that while these additions were expected to be introduced earlier this year, the delay could push him by 2026.

On a large front, the cupertino-based tech veteran is reported to open its foundation model for third-party developers during this year’s annual developer conference, which has about three billion parameters. It can allow creators to take advantage of their on-device AI technology which are currently used for text summary and other mild tasks. The move is expected to introduce many more apple intelligence-operated features as a result.

One of the primary joints is a ciri operated by a large language model (LLM) at its origin for a more consequent interface. This is likely to bring it equal with chatgate’s voice mode.
