Apple Stores said that Apple Eyes should be opened as retail expansion in Mumbai and Bangalore

Apple inaugurated its first retail stores in two cities in India in 2023, and the company is preparing to open new Apple stores in more parts of the country. Earlier this year, Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed that the company was planning to open four more stores in the country, and the announcement was made about two years later when the firm launched its first retail stores in Mumbai and Delhi. The company has not yet been provided more information about its plans to open more stores in India.

Upcoming Apple Store Location in Mumbai and Bangalore

A report in Financial Express states that the company Plan to launch new Apple Store Sky City Mall in Borivali (Mumbai) and Phoenix Mall in Asia in Yelhanka (Bengaluru). Citing unknown sources, the publication states that Apple has been hiring employees for these outlets for the last few months. These are two of the four new places for the upcoming Apple stores in India.

Last month, it was reported that Apple finalized places for new Apple stores at Copa Mall, Pune and in India’s DLF Mall in Noida. At that time, the company was said to be in search of two places in Mumbai and Bengaluru.

These upcoming outlets are expected to be inaugurated as the second phase of Apple’s retail expansion in the country. India’s first apple store was opened in April 2023 in Mumbai (Apple BKC), followed by Delhi (Apple SAKET).

Apple has a 60 percent of the sale of Saket Store, despite that the store is much smaller than the Apple BKC. If the claims of publication are accurate, Apple will have two stores in Mumbai (BKC and Borivali) and Delhi-NCR (SAKET and NOIDA)

Apple has been focusing its focus on India over the last few years, expanding its retail presence to increasing the number of products assembled in the country. The company wants to diversify its supply chain to reduce its dependence on China. After US President Donald Trump imposed tariffs on China, the company is also shipping iPhone units gathered in the US in India.
