Apple on Monday announced the latest leading update for its Vision Pro Headset during the company’s WWDC 2025 Kenote presentation. It is now called Visionos 26 to match Apple’s new naming conference for its mobile and desktop operating system.
One of the greatest additions is widgets that appear mixed in the physical environment, “originally integrates in a user’s location and each time they put on Apple Vision Pro,” manifests again at the same location. The users can customize a widget’s frame width, color and depth, and Visionos 26 is presenting many new widgets including a clock, weather, music that provides quick access to the playlist, and the photo that “displays” surprising panorama and spatial photos of their favorite memories. “
Vision Pro was already compatible with Bluetooth accessories such as keyboard, mice and game controllers, but Visionos 26 now supports a real VR-first accessory: VR2 Sense controllers of Playstation. The new iPhone interoperability includes the ability to unlock the phone when wearing the Apple Vision Pro, even during the entire immersive experience, and the iOS 26.3 will be available for the iPhone model running. Visionos 26 will also support a relay call from an iPhone, so the users can directly respond to the phone call from the vision Pro, or start the call from the view of the people of the headset.
Apple is also improving personality in Visionos 26, causing hyperlistic avatar “feel more natural and familiar.” By taking advantage of “Industry-Agni volumetric rendering and machine learning technology”, the new person will have a full side profile scene with “remarkably accurate hair, lashes and complexion”. When constructing a person, users will be able to preview how their avatar looks locally and makes adjustments as required.
Apple is taking the vision Pro in a way to feel more connected to remote families and friends when sharing spatial experiences, but those experiences with Visionos 26 can be shared with multiple vision Pro users in the same room. You and a friend can enjoy a 3D film by sitting on the same couch. The new update “180-degree, 360-degree, and Insta 360, Gopro, and Canon” will add support for broad field-off-view-view content, while ADOBE will release a new visionos 26 app operated by Premier that allows users to directly create and edit locally videos on Vision Pro.
The language support of Apple Vision Pro will expand to include French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Spanish with regional English support in Australia, Canada, India, Singapore and UK. A re -designed control center integrates features such as guest users, focus and travel mode in a scene, while the vision Pro connects better systematic and similar apps to the group for the home view folder.
Last year’s Visionos 2 update introduced several characteristics, which improved the day-day appropriateness of the Apple Vision Pro, including a simple wrist roll gesture to check the app icon on homescreen, Bluetooth mouse support and the ability to re-organize the app icon and to check the battery life of the head and headset. Visionos 2 also expanded the capabilities of the Vision Pro as a productivity tool, with a dual-equal 4K-equivalent curved ultravide display with a MAC-linked headset.
All new Visionos 26 features are available for testing starting today through the Apple Developer Program.
