Asus Rog Flow Z13: Two-minute review
This year has ever hit some of the best gaming laptops and gaming handheld in the market, which means it can be difficult to decide which device you want to choose for your on-a-go gaming needs.
However, what if you were to take both devices categories and smooth them together? You get the Asus Rog Flow Z13: a high-demonstration gaming tablet, which unlike other gaming tablets on the market, actually allows you to play ambitious AAA titles and not only play-to-play but good frame rates, while all remain cool and cool.
Downsides, which prevent this device from getting an ideal score, is not great battery life during gaming. However, it lasts for a decent time when using it to view normal browsing or video.
It is also very expensive, coming over $ 2,000, which means that this device is not for those who are on a budget, provide too much performance with gaming laptops in the same price range.
Asus Rog Flow Z13 Review: Price and Availability
- How much does it cost? $ 2,099 / £ 2,199
- When is it available? Now available
- Where can you get it? Available only in a few areas
Coming in $ 2,099 / £ 2,199, it is an extraordinary expensive tool in terms of gaming tablets. However, with the option to offer the same level of the option, it is difficult to compare the price-wise with other gaming tablets.
More similar options are products such as Asus Rog Ally X, gaming handheld from the same company, which comes in $ 799 / £ 799 and provides you with the same performance.
The Asus Rog Flow Z13 is available in some areas including the UK and the US, although unfortunately it cannot be raised worldwide.

Unfortunately you get only 1TB SSD, with no way to expand storage, so if you are planning to install a large game then you may have to invest in external hard drives.
If you are looking for other specifications, there are other repetitions of Asus Rog Flow Z13 from previous years.
Asus Rog Flow Z13 Review: Design
- Very portable
- Great design
- Good selection of ports
One of my favorite parts of Asus Rog Flow Z13 is how much compact it is, as you will expect from a gaming tablet.
It is a device that you can take anywhere, rashing it in any bag, even a small handbag thanks how small it is (30 x 20.4 x 1.30 cm). Compared to many gaming laptops, which weigh about 3 kg, the Asus Rog Flow Z13 only comes in 1.2 kg, which is perfect for your device to go.
In the context of the style, you get a simple and smooth tablet with a viosable keyboard and trackpad. There is a small window behind the device that allows you to see some components inside, which is actually a good touch.
Although it does not have an OLED screen – something that gave me a blow in the beginning – Asus Rog Flow Z13 still has a very good performance. This will not remove you in any way, but it has a great color range and an extraordinary refreshing rate for tablets on 180Hz.
The USB-A, two USB-C ports (either can be used for charging), HDMI, an audio jack and a microSD card reader are the appropriate amounts on the Asus Rog Flow Z13, including the reader. It is very good for those who are expecting to use other gaming external devices with their devices because there are lots of options to plug in.
The involved keyboard is extremely thin, and when I usually despise the tablet keyboard, it was not squid as alternative options. It was designed for a satisfactory typing and gaming experience, although for competitive title players, I would recommend selecting an external gaming keyboard for those accurate reactions.
Asus Rog Flow Z13 Review: Performance
- Gaming performance is impressive
- Overall user experience is great
- When cool in use
Standard
These are the results of our benchmarking tests for Asus Rog Flow Z13:
3dmark: night raid: 36,307; fire strike: 11,230; Time Detective: 4,634
Geekbench 6: 2,162 (single core)11,575 (Multi-core)
Crossmark: Overall: 1,417; Productivity: 1,241; Creativity: 1,760; Accountability: 1,100
Total War: Warhaimmer III (1080p, Ultra): 63; (1080p, low): 122
Cyberpank 2077 (1080p, Ultra): 73; (1080p, low): 93
Dirt 5 (1080p, Ultra): 39; (1080p, low): 80
Pcmark 10 battery life: 6 hours 4 minutes
Techradar movie test: 5hr 55 minutes
In terms of performance, the Asus Rog Flow Z13 offers some very good frimits for a gaming tablet, although considering the price point, I was really expecting more.
For most parts, you get above 60 fps when playing in 1080p in ultra graphics preset, equally gaming laptops priced will probably provide much better performance, as they can use more powerful hardware without fitting it in a table-like form factor.
Asus Rog Flow Z13 remained very calm the whole time, when I was using it. Even when it is put through its pace, such as running the AAA title in Ultra, I was barely able to listen to the device that makes it perfect to use when leaving so that you are not bothering everyone around you.
As you expect, how calm it was, it was too good, which is very good for a tablet because it means you can still catch it and use touchscreen without worrying about burning your hands and fingers.
The speakers are very good, although as usual I would recommend to use and use a headset to ensure the best gaming experience. To watch videos and movies, the speakers are perfect because you do not need directional precision.
Outside the actual performance I was getting in-game, using the device has been a very pleasant experience. I enjoyed typing on it, and I felt easy to switch between the tablet and laptop mode, just by removing or flipping the keyboard.
A negative side for me was built in trackpad, I found it a little slow in terms of accountability, while okay for browsing and general use, I opted for a gaming mouse while playing clearly.
- Performance Score: 3.5 / 5
Asus Rog Flow Z13 Review: Battery Life
Asus Rog Flow Z13’s battery life is truly surprisingly great, even some of the highest performance and more expensive gaming laptops that I have recently tried.
When the battery is benchmark, I was able to get around the sixes of the use, which is more representative of watching videos on the device instead of gaming. When Asus Rog Flow Gaming on Z13, I found that I got close to a four -hour battery, the AAA Games removed the device even faster.
For example, when playing cyberpanks, I only got half an hour of game time before the device closes, which definitely limits how much this device is really portable, no matter how thin and lighter it is.

Here are some options if Asus Rog Flow Z13 is not right for your needs:
How I tested Asus Rog Flow Z13
- Tested for two weeks
- Used for work and for gaming
- Run benchmark
I spent two weeks using Asus Rog Flow Z13 as my everyday laptop for work and holiday. I was sure to use the device throughout the day for my specific workdays, and then also used it for gaming in the evening.
I took it with me to different places, where I needed to work to see how it would feel outside my workstation. Along with using it every day, I benchmark the laptop using a series of various benchmarking software and in-game benchmarking tools for many titles.
