Aura Espains: Review
Abha Aspen is a 1600 x 1200 11.8 inch digital photo frame. Slap in the middle of the market, it retails for $ 229 (around £ 175) – while it is currently available only in the US, the company confirmed that it will launch internationally in 2025. In turn, it offers a polish performance, clean -cruel design and unlimited cloud storage, making it a proper proper investment.
Espaining cannot be very straightforward. Once you download the Abha app, you just need to tap the new frame and plug into the frame. To connect your frame to Wi-Fi, just enter the numbers displayed on the frame in the app, and it will connect to your home network. Then you will be able to add users to the frame or you can get simply with adding photos.
And it may not be easy. You can navigate through the app-add the photo and choose unlimited number of snaps and videos from your gallery-use the underlying share button in most photo apps to share directly with or frames. After a quick upload, they will start appearing on the screen of the frame.
Once they do, you will immediately see how impressive the screen of the aspen is. While its performance is not the most pixel density that we have seen – at 11.8 inches and 1600 x 1200 resolution, it sits at about 170PPI – its images look thematicly as crisp as we have seen with any best digital photo frame. However, it sometimes exceeds the scar (it was very disabled of artificial bokeh on some of my iPhone 16 Pro Snaps), I wonder if it makes the images a subtle images so that they can be given an additionally defined look.
A region it is absolutely nails, however, color reproduction. Whether it is Marble Turquoise and Azure of the Eonian Sea or a riot of the peach and magenta of Rhododendron in full bloom, Aspen made every color rich and enriched and seductive in my pictures. And it never appears artificial look; It is stable in its accuracy, once not to beat the scars in that leurid oversate, which are susceptible to some screens.
To close this strong performance, Aspen also has a very decent feature set. With the ability to share your shots on your frame for friends and family, the aspen automatically detects orientation of the frame and rotating the images accordingly. Unfortunately, when you can manually harvest images to focus them according to your priorities, you cannot harvest them differently for landscape and portrait, or choose which images you will either see in orientation. Nevertheless, some digital photo frame I have handled it completely, so I can forgive it completely here.
And aspen has some innovative features that provide some other frames. Perhaps its dyeing feature attracts the most attention, which adds the color back to black and white photos. The results are essentially, slightly hits and misses, as it is default for the most traditional colors for everything. For example, it represented the rock and sand of Furevantura in Drab Khaki and dull beige instead of its true colors of ocher and gold. Meanwhile, its in-app scanner allows you to ‘digitize’-take pictures of the pages’-existing physical paintings. It is very fun to play with these two, even if I suspect that you will not end using them.
When it comes to controlling the aspen, you can definitely use the Abha app. However, for those who prefer more touch method of control, the frame has two touch-capeative bar that either sit on top of the frame in orientation. These allow you to swipe left and right to choose photos from your playlist, tap to hide photos or double-tap to see image information. While this netgier is a lower future than the touchless gesture control of the spiral canvas II, it seems much more comfortable and silly. Simply put, I have ever used the best control mechanism when reviewing this digital photo frame.
And such practical yet refined style is a design language that seems fluent in Abha Aspen. Its white 1.4-inch (35 mm) Bezels have a matte, textured paper effects, making them feel confident like an authentic growing board. Meanwhile, some digital photo frames rely on the frame instead of a furious stick, its stand is a strong arrow size that has been fashioned out of the weighty metal, which means that I never needed to worry about it. The device shows such a trusted, which is considered a build quality, making it a suitable premium.
If you are already convinced and ready to take Abha Aspen, I suspect that you will be disappointed. For those on the fence, there is another factor to consider: its price. Yes, at $ 229, it is equally pricier than equally impressive PEXAR 11-inch Digital Picture Frame, which retails for $ 159.99 / £ 149.99 and provides a slightly more 221 ppi pixel density. However, Aura provides a more premium-pelting build and unlimited uploads and storage, so the frame that makes the other out of the edges is a matter of your greatest priorities.

Launched on 16 April 2025, Abha Aspen is now available in the US. Customers in the world else in the world will have to wait a little for this, as according to Aura, its international rollout is currently pencil for ‘later in 2025’.
Ara Espains retails for $ 229 (approximately £ 175), a little above $ 159.99 / £ 149.99 pexar 11-inch digital picture frame and more than budget options like Aeezo Portrat 01, which you can currently choose from $ 39.99 / £ 53.19. Aspen is membership-free, however, and that price includes unlimited transfer and cloud storage, so it does not include no hidden costs or upgrade fees.
It is available in a single shape, but provides two colors: ink, the charcoal-head frame that we tested here, or soil, a neutral beige color.

How did I test Abha Espain

I tested Abha Aspen in several weeks. First, I used its app to set the frame, upload images and detect its various characteristics. I tried to send the entire folder to upload both individual snaps and bulk, to see how this transfer was fought in terms of time.
I uploaded various types of shots, designed for wide monochrome compositions from brilliantly hied blossoms that are designed to help assess resolution and color performance. I tried frame in a range of settings to help assess its capabilities at different angles and distances and at different light levels.
When it comes to this experience, not only I have tested a wide range of digital photo frames for Techradar, but I am an experienced photographer who took more than 40,000 photos on cameras up to my iPhone 16 Pro from my canon DSLR. I spent many years to work in print publication, gave me a deep look for image resolve and color accuracy.
