Search a little online and you will find a pile of 3D home design software. Belight Software’s Live Home 3D aims to provide a solution, no matter which platform you are on: The company has apps for your Mac or Windows Computer, iOS or Android phones and tablets, and even apple vision Pro.
For the purposes of this review, we will see the desktop versions to see how this popular device measures to the best interior design software we have tested.
Live Home 3D: Pricing and Plans
- A limited free version, 30-day money back guarantee for other levels, what is included in each, with clear information about it, and do not need to hand over your payment details or email address to check the software.
Live Home 3D comes in three versions. One is independent and should be paid for two. There are serious limitations for free: you can only design the building with two stories, for example, you cannot make custom materials, nor can you edit the area outside your building; Your render and video walkthrough will be watermarks, and will be limited to 720p to the video, and 2048×1536 for Stills.
The standard version removes many of these borders: you can now work with unlimited number of levels, and your render is no longer watermark, for example. Currently it will cost you $ 50 for a lifetime license.
The Pro is priced at $ 100, also for a lifetime license, and introduces the ability to work on the area, change the lighting, change camera settings, edit the content and increase the resolution of both videos and images.
You will also get exemption for students, and members of non-profit organizations.
Belight also offers a 30-day money back guarantee. One thing is worth noting, unlike Mac, who has a dedicated free version, Windows users can download the standard version for free, and make an in-app purchasing to unlock the features beyond the people available in the free version.
Downloading software is easy. You do not ask for any payment information, and you do not even need to hand over your email address. Can’t really get less unpleasant than that.
Live Home 3D: Interface
- A single interface with the top and icon on each side, Live Home 3D also comes with the wealth of templates and canvas of different sizes you should like to start working with scratches
Live Home 3D Sports is a very simple and elegant interface. You have a line of equipment at the top, a sidebar on the left side, where you get to choose items and materials, as well as a list of objects added in each floor, and an inspector on the right allows you to reach all the parameters of a selected object.
In many ways, the software looks misleading. You can easily start designing a building in seconds, by adding walls, doors, windows and furniture easily, but the values you can change, it is too large, all the Inspects are located in the Inspector section, giving you complete control as your composition, should you be careful.
When creating a new document, you are given some options in the reference to the scale: do you want to build the same room, an apartment, or a house? Either will work to start, but it just sets the original size of the canvas on which you will be working. You will also find a treasure of sample designs for you to find and motivate it, whether they are single rooms, homes, apartments or cottages. All these templates are free, save for ‘additional homes’ that provide more ‘foreign’ designs (who live in a pineapple house, I ask you), and are available through a separate purchase.
Live Home 3D: Tools
- The instruments are excellent and extremely easy to use, as well as the treasures of parameters are free to use or ignore you
We have discovered many 3D home design packages, from simple free people, best architecture software for professionals. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses, but it really makes us feel that Live Home 3D has added most of these to the best.
Erecting the walls is incredibly easy. Not only this is a simple click and pull to add one, you can just click on a wall and then pull it to change its position. Any surrounding wall will be replaced, as you do, save you a lot of time. Even better, if you add a new wall to an existing one, the live home 3D is enough clever that is enough to understand that you want to join those two walls, and it does it automatically for you.
The doors and windows snap on the walls automatically because you pull them near one, and it also works with angled walls. It is as if you have found an intelligent assistant, just waiting to help make your design so comfortable. Of course, like walls, you can choose the shape of doors and windows by choosing them and pull their edges in or out. More accurate changes can be made through the Inspector panel on the right.
There are view mode just above the inspector. By default you are working on a top-down 2D view, but you can choose a 3D scene instead, or divide your field into two to see both at the same time. We really liked that you can change and manipulate your design in any scene, although 2D is the place where you are doing most of your work, because all options are available.
Live Home 3D: Objects
- Live Home 3D has hundreds of ingredients that you can use to decorate your home and optimize its belongings
Live Home 3D provides the treasure of items you can add to your projects, all are located in the left sidebar, and are broken by categories – although there is also an easy search function, to find out what you are after so easy.
When you are found what you are seeing, just pull it on your project. You have shaped and rotated around the item, so you can place it in exactly where you need it. You will find a ‘glue’ option in the inspector, which is a preset for each item (although you can change what you want).
This tells the software where to drop the object. For example, a couch should be on the floor, while a roof light will be automatically attached to the roof.
If you cannot find the object you are looking for, you have the ability to import your own files, or get additional from the trimbal 3D warehouse (to do so you have to create a free account there).
Adding objects is one thing, but you need the ability to customize them, and live at home. 3D is definitely your back. The left sidebar stores hundreds of different materials, which is conducted by the category, which you can add to any object, wall, or floor, or anything that is really selected. And you are not limited to using these materials with ‘traditional’ methods. Want a sofa made of grass on leather floor? Go for it.
Live Home 3D: Renderrs
- Two render engines to create unlimited number of images for you on various proposals. Works well, until the ‘Radeon Proorender’ does not crash on you as if it has done us
One thing that we loved is a lot, although your render has been watermark for free version, and limited to 2048×1536 and limited to standard, as much as you can make many images as much as you can.
This watermark, it is appropriate to mention, is largely and correct in the middle of the image – not getting away from the fact that it was generated by the free version of live home 3D. You also have two render engines to choose, ‘Radeon Proorender’ and ‘Cycle’.
However, the Radeon option crashed on us every time, when we tried to use the former through our computer’s Radeon GPU. Bypassing the GPU and working completely with the CPU works without any bottlenecks. We found that it took longer to render the ‘Radeon Proorender’, but he produced a fine expansion.
Should I buy Live Home 3D?
Buy it if …
You need a simple to use 3D home design software with innumerable options on your fingers, do you need them, and the treasure of adaptable items you can add to your projects.
Do not buy it if …
