Choosing the best Android phone can make it feel heavy because there are many options from so many brands, it is difficult to know where to start. Unlike Apple, which glued to its smooth lineup of iPhones, provides the world of Android variety. Whether you are the latest flagship from Samsung, something unique with a budget -friendly smartphone or a foldable design from Motorola is an Android device to suit your needs.

The beauty of Android is its flexibility. You will get a phone with bizarre extra such as different screen size, camera setup, battery life and even stylus support or rugged build. In addition, Android lets you customize your device to your heart content – some apple fans can envy. We have tested and researched the top Android phone to help our budget, lifestyle and technical preferences find the right one.

    Best Android Phone for 2025

    Best Android Phone for 2025

    Google

Processor: Google Tensor G4 | Display: 6.3-inch Super Actua, up to 120Hz | Camera: Rear Eri (50MP wide, 48mp ultravide with macro focus, 48mp 5x telephoto lens), 42MP dual PD selfie front camera with autofocus. Battery: 4,700mAh

Finally, a small pixel pro. Google’s Pixel series has long been one of the best Android phones, with a pro model better version. But it was always a little big and was very cumbersome to those of us who have small hands or want our phones to fit in our pocket. Cu cu the Pixel 9 Pro, which is the Littler version of Pixel 9 Pro XL. Instead of a relatively large 6.8-inch screen, such as its elder siblings, Standard Pro has a 6.3-inch display that is easy for maneuver. There is no worry about leaving your Pixel Pro just because you stumble while trying to reach the top of the screen!

Better yet, with Pixel 9 Pro, Google has not sacrificed any major facility to go into small size, which means that you will find the same camera setup and performance in both handsets. Only the actual differences are screen sizes, batteries and charging speeds, as the non-XL model recharges at a slightly slower rate. But the Pixel 9 Pro is longer longer than the XL, which is about 25 hours on our battery test.

Those distinctions are on one side, the Pixel 9 Pro Lineup is our favorite Android phone because its top-wheat performance, complicated AI features and a common big vibe. While the previous pixel flagship was a colorful, blocked design that felt fresh, this year’s equipment feels solid and sophisticated. And, we call it, almost like iPhones. Without the camera bars, they would be very difficult to tell different from Apple’s phone.

Probably because it has become too big in years, but pixel phones now spend the same as iPhone. Both Pixel 9 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro start both starts at $ 999, and although some of us have come to think about Google’s handset, which is as an alternative to a more competitive price, this year’s model may be sufficient to justify the premium price. If you still want something from the Pixel 9 family, but do not want to pay $ 1,000, the base pixel 9 is still a solid handset for most people. But as it stands, the Pixel 9 Pro can buy the best Android handset money. – Cherlin Lo, Deputy Editor

    Processor: Google Tensor G4 | Display: 6.3-inch 1,080 x 2,424 pold, up to 120Hz | Camera: Rear Eri (48MP wide, 13MP ultravide), 13MP front camera | Battery: 5,100mAh

Pixel 9A is not particularly attractive and has no special features that are already not available on its more expensive brothers and sisters. In fact, it has truly slow charging and is a missing support for some homegron software of Google. But for everyone who wants just a solid design, a good screen, excellent camera and a simple phone with strong battery life, defeating Pixel 9A is really difficult. So when it is not a super fancy, the phone has all the most important grounds (and then some). But the most important thing is that starting from just $ 499, this phone looks like an incredible deal that punches it well above its price. – Sam Rutherford, Senior Reporter

Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite | Display: 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+, up to 120Hz | Camera: Rear Eri (200MP, Dual Pixel AF, Digital Zoom 100X, 50MP Macro, 50MP UW), 12MP Front Camera | Battery: 5,000mah

S25 Ultra There is anything phone. It has a wide range of cameras including a 5x telephoto lens and a new 50-megapixel sensor for its ultra-wide shooter, a grand 6.9-inch AMOLED display (which is 0.1 inches larger than the previous year) and, of course, a wide range of cameras including Samsung’s signal pens. For 2025, Samsung’s main focus was on its better Galaxy AI characteristics such as now brief, which creates an individual feed of news, events and more. There is also drawing aid that makes AI-related art easier, or you can turn to AI selection to take a screenshot, convert video into GIFs, or summarize stories.

Unfortunately, different from a new Snapdragon 8 Elite Chip, S25 Ultra does not come with a ton of new hardware compared to its predecessor (or for that case). So while Samsung’s latest flagship is a great phone, it does not feel like an essential upgrade for people with a flagship device that are only one or two years old. – SR

    Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite | Display: 8-inch 2184 x 1968QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Full Display, 6.5-inch 2520 x 1080fhd+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Cover Display | Camera: Rear Eri (200MP wide, 12MP ultravide, 10MP telephoto), 10MP front camera | Battery: 4,400mAh

One of the biggest issues with foldable phones is the additional shape and weight that often comes with a flexible display. Samsung has spoken of the past on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which plays the larger screen – both inside and out – while 26 percent are thinner than before. And as it was not enough, Z fold 7 also has better durability, increase in performance and a new 200MP main camera, which you get from the traditional flagship smartphone. The main downside is that in $ 2,000, it is still away from inexpensive and for long -term Samsung fans, the loss of S Pen Support can be a Delicker. But for those who want to experience new heights in foldable phone design, Galaxy Z Fold 7 is an excellent work of modern gadget design. – SR

Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite | Display: 6.8-inch OLED, 120Hz, 4,500 nits maximum brightness | Camera: Rear Eri (50MP wide, 50mp ultravide, 50MP telephoto), 32MP front camera | Battery: 6,000mah

While OnePlus 13 has some basic AI features such as Google’s Circle to Search and Gemini Assistant, it is actually the main one of the old -fashioned by all the best ways. This is because instead of focusing on machine learning, OnePlus cram the phone with tons of tons of tons. It sports a 6.8 -inch OLED display with an incredible peak glow of up to 4,500 notes. OP13 also provides excellent performance for 16GB RAM and 512GB storage with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Chip. There are also three 50-MP rear cameras with a 3x telephoto zoom with a huge 6,000 mAh battery, which is larger than getting practically in all your contestants.

OnePlus either did not skimp on the design of the phone, as OP13 still comes with the company’s signature alert slider. In addition, if you choose a blue or white variant option, you will find a durable and very touchable vegetarian leather that helps the phone to make the phone stand between all your glass brick rivals. But the best thing is that starting from $ 900, its cost is less than uniform Galaxy S25+.

What to see in a new Android phone

    Display

When it comes to choosing our favorite Android phone, the main things we seek are very direct: good performance (both calculations and AI), a good performance, solid design, sharp camera, long battery life and a significant commitment for ongoing software support. For performance, not only we look at benchmarks and other matrix, but we also evaluate the phone on accountability basis. Even if you are studying, scrolling text messages, scrolling through social media or playing a game, no one wants a gadget that feels dull.

    Display

When it comes to displaying, we usually prefer OLED panels that can produce saturated colors rich in at least 600 nits, although many of our top mid-range and high-end phone can make several 1,000 notes or more hits. And recently, most of our favorite equipment supports screen with 90Hz or rapid refreshing rates of 120Hz, which adds an additional level of lubrication and liquidity.

    design

Now we will admit which phone looks best is a little subject when deciding, but there are other design aspects such as dust and water resistance or screen durability that can create a big difference for long -term existence. It is also important to consider things such as wireless charging, power sharing (aka reverse wireless charging) and support for UWB connectivity, which can affect how your phone interacts with your other devices.

    Camera

Apparently, for photos we are looking for sharp, colored shots in both bright and low-light situations. And we want video clips with high dynamic range, rich audio and smooth image stabilization. Additional cameras for ultra-wide and telephoto lens are a plus. Best cameras should also include features such as dedicated night mode, support for various video recording proposals, and additional photo modes such as Timeleps, Slow Motion and more.

    Battery and software

Finally, in terms of longevity, we are looking for all-day battery life on devices who gave great results on our local video randdown test (at least 16 hours on a charge, but more clearly better). Wireless charging capabilities have almost become universal over the years, and most of our top pics have additional perk. Fast-charging is also available on some Android phones. Finally, with people living longer than ever on our phone, we prefer companies to look committed to at least three years of software support, upgradation and regular security updates.
