Other packing cubes we tried
Gorak Packing Cube for $ 25 (for 1, 10L flat), I loved 15 x 10 x 3-inch size, I tested this rugged, 200-deanier nylon cube, with a Aries front. This is almost anything necessary for any occasion, on the front with a convenient carry handle and signature Gorak American Flag Patch. However, they are expensive, and unless you need to match your Gorak gear, there is nothing about them that stands above the comparatively priced cubes.
Amazon Basics for $ 16 (set of 4): This four-fold brands were comparable to four-fold brands of four-pack of cubes with fabrics such as strong-head windows and repostops. However, Bagsmart’s cubes were the same price and even strong, so they drove them out for the top budget slot.
Inner formula for $ 45 packing cubes (set of 4), I like these 10 trendy colors, many of which match away. However, after testing more than 20 different brands and types at different price points, these cubes did not stand out yet. The material was very thin and some of the cheap Amazon brands were unlikely, and the zippers were small.
Shacke packing cubes for $ 25 (set of 6), These were very good quality for an Amazon brand; There is a strong handle and the material is slightly thick compared to other packing cubes at this price point. I like breathing for privacy and mesh mixture for opaque fabric. They come in nine colors, but the color clowns are bright and the four-panel mesh design reminds me of a jock strap. Shacke says that it uses ykk zippers on all its packing cubes, but I peeled the cord covering the zipper and did not find YKK Insignia anywhere.
Gorilla Grip Packing Cubes (8 set) for $ 22, These were least expensive packing cubes I had tested, and unfortunately, it was shown. The material was very thin, and the zipper was Janki. I like that they come with a shoe and laundry bag, however, and when not being used, they bend the bottom quite small. They come in a series of colors, with a nice lattice window, while not through full view. Handwash only.

Calpak Luka Zippered Passport Wallet for $ 35: Whether you are traveling internationally or neglected to update your driver’s license before the US Real ID Deadline (guilty), a passport wallet is a necessary. This stylish, puffy number of Calpak, not only your passport, but also keeps your phone in a pocket on the front. Only at the bottom is that it is quite large, about the size of a contemporary paperback book, and it does not have a handle or loop, so if you do not have enough enough to adjust it, then it is strange to carry.
Gorilla Grip goods straps for $ 15 (set of 4): If you travel with your hard-handed check bag while expanding, you would have paid attention to the lack of structure to some extent. Both hard sides have their own stapled-down loads, which are only flopped around by a thin fabric connected by zipper. I rely on these straps that when this scale is being launched on the conveyor belt or thrown around on the Turmac, I rely to hold my uncertainly packed suitcase together. And as a bonus, bright colors (the company has nine to choose) makes it easy to spot your bag on the carousel of the claim of accessories.
Kusshi Travel Jewelery Organizer for $ 49 (Medium)For the ultimate in the space-saving organization, you cannot up this hanging model that fold downwards to be completely flat. The moderate shape is soft-reflected in three levels of PVC-Franted Zipper Pockets, which with earrings rings, bracelets, watches and whatever you need, with earrings and snaps with a nifty necklace holder. The larger size is the same, but twice with several sections. When closed, it becomes flat about the size of an iPad.

How I tested
I have been testing toiletry bags and adjacent goods for the last seven months, using them daily in my bathroom and taking them on trips every few months. For the initial testing round for packing cubes, I inspected the set of each cube or cubes for features and materials. I tested how easily the gipers opened and shut down, and how easy it was to use any compression feature. I packed various cubes with heavy sweatshirts and sweatpants, to see how many pieces I can fit into the largest cube. Then, at the end of the testing period, I packed a cube from each set in three suitcases and took them on a week-old cross-country trip, assessing how easy they would be or would have to unpack, or if anything bothers me or my family between stress and unpredictability of travel.
Why not use just one ziplock bag?
This is the question that I see the most from passengers to use packing cubes. Ziplock bags are cheap, and you can see everything inside. When a box of a 2.5-minal bag costs $ 5, why would anyone spend a $ 25 or $ 100 on a set of cubes packing? This is a valid question, and one I determine to check by packing a couple of slide-lock-handed bags with my packing cubes for a week trip. I discovered some things.
, Packing cubes breathe. It is especially helpful on the way to return home when wash most or all clothes wash. If your clothes smell like anything – then anything – you will be hit on the face with that smell after you are sitting in an airtight plastic bag.
, Packing cubes are durable. Unlike a plastic bag, the packing cubes will not rip, burst, or will not develop unexpected holes.
, (Some) packing cubes are compressed. Can you be worth five days of pants and shirts in a plastic bag? Probably not. But you can definitely do in a compressed packing cube, like some of the above options.
