Blue Origin now accepts crypto and stabechoin for space tourism

From NFT collections to blockchain infrastructure in space

Blockchain has already made its way beyond the Earth’s atmosphere in both cultural and technical forms.

In 2022, Azuki made headlines in a non -toffee token community When its “Bobo Dae Bean Farmer” character was sent to space as part of a spacex/NASA mission, digital collection with real -world frontier exploration was merged.

Beyond NFT, some projects are constructing blockchain infrastructure in the classroom. In 2020, Spacechen described as a multicignature bitcoin transaction before the international space station, showing how blockchain operations can be fully off-planet.

In December 2024, the SpaceCoine XYZ launched its first satellite to develop a orbital blockchain network aimed at expanding decentralized applications beyond the Earth’s surface. The project plans to create a tier blockchain system anchored in space to support future decentralized economies.

    Stratosphere blockchain connectivity

Blockchain-operated aerospace projects are not limited to space. Telecom Startup World Mobile is launching 5G network using a hydrogen-operated drone flying at 60,000 feet for wireless connectivity over 15,000 square kilometers.

The system developed with Indonesian telecom company Protelindo is integrated with the decentralized physical infrastructure network (DepIPIN) of the World Mobile, which connects traditional telecommunications assets with independently operated nodes to expand the service to the undested communities.

According to the company, the approach promises less delay in the form of six milliseconds – performs much better than satellites – and 18 times less cost per gigabyte.

Blue Origin link is also not new to the Crypto world. On 3 August, Blue Origin took Justin Sun, the founder of the blockchain platform Tron on his NS-34 mission from West Texas.

Surya paid $ 28 million for the seat in the 2021 auction and joined the five other passengers in the subOrbandal flight, marking one of the most high-profile intersections of blockchain and space tourism.

According to Blue Origin, ticket price was donated to 19 space-centered donations to motivate children to make a career in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (steam).

On returning, Surya said, “Earth is very small, and this is our home. We definitely need to do what we can do.”
