Here is an all-a-familiar landscape for me: I am listening to music using my phone, when for some reason, my headphones connect with my sleeping MacBook. The music stops.

I am sure you participate in some version of this problem – it’s disappointingly common, as well as you are reading an article about how to solve it. And here is your solution: a free, open source is called application BluesnoozeThis simple tool does one thing: it turns off your Bluetooth when your Mac falls asleep, and when your Mac wakes up turns it back. This prevents your computer from handling your headphone when you don’t want it.

I have been testing it for a few days and it works firmly. There are some downsides – using this program means that when your Mac wakes up, you will have to wait a few seconds before using your Bluetooth devices, such as the mouse, keyboard or speaker. For me, this break lasted only a few seconds – a brief enough gap that I had seen barely – but it is worth keeping in mind.

The larger negative side is that the app also breaks some characteristics, which you can use regularly, with “allow your Apple Watch to unlock your Mac” and find some “my Mac” abilities. If you are constantly angry with cutting your MacBook with audio, however, you may be able to live with these agreements.

What do you think so far?

The Bluesnooze menu runs from the bar and offers just one option: whether you want it automatically go to the login or not. If you do not like the chaos in your menu bar, you can alternately disable the menu bar icon using the command found on the download page. This will vacate the space on your menu bar, but it is difficult to know whether the application is going on or not. For this reason, I also recommend that you use an app to clean your Mac menu bar instead of completely removing the icon.

Bluesnooze is not a particularly complex application, which is given, but it solves a very specific problem. If you are considering storing your MacBook in a Faraday Cage to prevent the control of your airpods, see it.
