Bose Soundalink Plus: two minutes review

Bose Soundalink Plus fit the gap between Soundalink Flex and Soundalink Max well. Like his two older siblings, Soundalink Plus is a strong, silicone-end-steel speaker that has an impressive IP67 rating against dust and moisture, either can be controlled by using a button through an app or button on the speaker, and the bose will play well with other speakers in the line-up.

Bluetooth 5.4 is a decent beginning with APTX adaptive compatibility and multi-point connectivity. There is also a welcome specification of a twitter supported by a mid/bass driver and four passive radiators, whether Bose power, frequency response or any other mildly interesting information is making their normal talk of failing to quote interesting information. And the 20-hour battery life (with the following wind) also looks good, especially when you consider A) the USB-C slot of the speaker can also output, as well as, power, and B) the battery can be replaced if more if needed.

As far as the performance also goes, it establishes a Soundalink business as usual. Which means the expander and full-torn low frequencies, a lot of expansion in the board, direct and informative midrange and a top end that is not away with itself.

One of the best Bluetooth speakers around him, like it is an elder brother? Well, in this example, the Soundalnink Sonic recipe also means the sound of the bass which can be better controlled and, as a result, the rhythmic expression that is not as confident as it can be. Whether it is a deal-breaker or not, when Bose is well balanced against everything, you will depend a lot on you …

Bose Soundalink Plus Review: Price and release date

    • Available since June 26, 2025
    • Price $ 269 / £ 249 / AU $ 429

The Bose Soundalink Plus has been on sale since June 26, 2025, and in the United Kingdom it costs £ 249. In the company’s original United States, it sells in $ 269, while in Australia you are looking at AU $ 429.

It puts, as you expect, June 2024-ISSU-Insuan Bose is a good deal cheaper compared to Max, it is included in the range, which has started its start at $ 399 / £ 399 / AU $ 599 and has not seen too much dips at the price (partly because it is a brilliant speaker).

But it is still a proper bit pricier compared to our top Bluetooth speaker pick, JBL Flip 7, which came in March 2025 and can be for $ 149 / £ 129 / AU $ 179.

    Bose Soundalink Plus Review: Facilities

    • APTX Bluetooth with adaptive codec support 5.4
    • Mid/bass driver, tweeter, four passive radiators
    • 20 hours battery life

The Soundalink Plus uses Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless connectivity, and SBC, AAC and APTX are compatible with adaptive codes. Multi is (read ‘two’ for which) -point connectivity is also available.

Once your digital audio content rides on Bose, it is given by a speaker driver array with a middle/bass driver, a tweeter, and four inactive radiator. Bose Bose, of course, is the size and structure of these drivers, their position within the cabinet, and the amount of power running them, privileged information. And it is also the case where the type of amplification uses plus, and the frequency reaction that is capable of achieving it is also worried.

If you are prudent about the volume level you hear, you should be able to listen to the plus for 20 hours between the charge; If you are not, you will be lucky to take five hours of action. The worst should be and your bose becomes flat, it takes a lazy five hours to charge it back on ‘full’-although the USB-C slot behind the chassis can also be used as a power output if you need to charge your smartphone or what-what-you. The battery can be replaced by Bose Service Engineers, which must be produced anytime, which is also a good sign for a more durable technical future.

    Bose Soundalink Plus Review: Design

    • 99 x 231 x 86 mm (hxwxd)
    • IP67
    • Three finish options

You will make your own mind about how to look Bose Soundalink Plus, and you will definitely have an opinion about the available finish (black, ‘dusk’ blue or acidic ‘citrus’ yellow), but there is no argument with the rigor of this 99 x 231 x 231 x 86 mm (HXWXD) speaker.

Its construction has a large part thanks to the use of soft-touch silicon, Bose shock-proof. Thanks to an IP rating of IP67, it is basically immune for dust and water effects – in fact, Bose claims that it is fully happy that by submerging a meter of water for 30 minutes at a time. The Soundalink Plus floats, however, so you must definitely have beautiful patience to test it. And thanks to a loop of strong nylon rope at one end of the chassis, the speaker’s 1.45 kg weighing can be borne by a bag lease or something like that.

Like the large Soundalink Max, there is a powder-coated steel grill in front of the plus. There is a small perforated grill at the back, as well as a USB-C slot that can transfer electricity to both directions.

Bose Soundalink Plus Review: Sound Quality

    • Huge, elaborate and porous presentation
    • Impressive dynamic headroom
    • Not the last word in rhythmic positivity

It is not strictly speaking, a game of two parts because positivity in Soundalink Plus sounds is much higher than negative. But equally, this bose is not what I can really describe as ‘all-rounder’.

As far as positivity is concerned, they are abundant and satisfying. Qobuz-derived Hi-RS FLAC with file Boring and strange historical music By playing telemachs, partially hot tanwala balance makes great sense and the speaker’s ability to extract a lot of detail in the frequency range is directly impressive. The direct nature of the midrange allows to reveal a lot of character and approach with more general information about tone and technique. And at the top of the frequency range, the Soundalink Plus attacked well with the gusto, bites a bit and shines to harass the sounds without wandering in hardness-you are playing on big versions only (which you will not be, because this battery is fundamentally affecting life).

Bose, of course, is not saying how much power is available here, but whatever specific number is sufficient to ensure that the intensity in Soundalink Plus and/or changes in the volume exceeds the dynamic headroom enough to deal with the changes that black pepper. The speaker is really happy to go very loudly without changing its overall sound characteristics, and when playing in more thoughtful versions, the ability to recognize and refer to very momentary details of hormonic variations is very effective.

And along with working in a lump sum, Bose also creates a large soundstage by the standards of the appropriate compact single-inflammatory speakers. There is a sensation of space that wireless speakers are not given in any way while listening to such money, an openness that means recordings like radioheads. Nation -song It is quite easy to follow on an individual-action basis.

The Soundalink Plus has a large extent frequency response, as no area is underplay or overstitial for any great degree – but it does not integrate the lowest frequencies, which can be smoothly with everything happening on them. The quantity of punch and low-end substance can call the speaker, of course effective, but there is a relative lack of control where attacks and decays are concerned, which means that the bass can pull rich on a little tempo. The rhythmic expression is not as naturalist as it can, and the lower-frequency information may be slightly different from the otherwise-acquired presentation.

Bose Soundalink Plus Review: Setups and Promotion

    • App or button control
    • Two Soundalink Plus can create a stereo pair
    • No mix means no voice control

The top of the Soundalink Plus is a light -fierce recurrence strip of physical controls – the action is rubber at the same time but quite positive. Here you can reach ‘Power On/Off’, ‘Volume Up/Down’, ‘Play/Pose’, Bluetooth Pairing, and ‘Shortcut’ button.

The function of the ‘shortcut’ button can be either ‘access spotify’ or ‘speaker link’ – you will define what you want to do in the Bose Control app that is free for iOS and Android. ‘Access Spotify’ does not really require any further explanation, but it is worth noting that the ‘speaker link’ allows two Soundalink Plus to make a stereo pair, or to make any other bose speaker with its own ‘shortcut’ button to share the material.

Other app functions include EQ presets and three-band equipment, which are to make some of their own settings. The firmware has the ability to investigate for updates, and the remaining battery is a sign of power. As the standard Bose practice, there is nothing more to see the app, but is stable, logical and useful.

    Bose Soundalink Plus Review: Price

Soundalink Plus is a decent value for money, there are no two ways about it. Yes, it can be improved for battery life and to charge time, and there are speakers with more comprehensive control options. But it is powerful enough to fill the previous (and thanks to that IP67 rating, to live anywhere), and it is powerful enough to fill a fairly larger locations with sound. The sound that is appropriate balance, is inadvertently porous and is actually quite revealed, what is more.

How did I test Bose Soundalink Plus

    • Tested for two weeks
    • Use of dual sources: iPhone 14 Pro and a Fiio M15s Digital Audio Player
    • Heard my house and beach

Thanks to its multipoint connectivity, I was able to connect my Apple iPhone 14 Pro and my Fiio M15s Digital Audio Player with Saundilink Plus at the same time – switching between the two was a great indication that it was a great indication that how well Bose can perform when it is given the best shot where it is given the best shot where the codake is compatible. I heard a proper amount of words spoken with a lot of music, different styles and different file sizes, and I heard in my house and on the beach. This is a difficult task, and so on …
