Greetings – Welcome to another version of the box art dispute!
Last week, we saw Dis Disney’s magical Quest 3 starring Mickey and Donald on GBA, and it was a surprisingly close fight. Finally, Japan won with 42% of the vote. Europe came in second place with 30%, and North America achieved 27%.
This time, we are going back to SNES to check a deep cut: ArmsDeveloped by visual concepts and published by names in 1995, it was a fight game that received a quite mixed reception. It never got a sequel, although many believe that it will proceed to inform its mechanics. Sol Blade / Solclibur Franchise.
This is another duality this week because in North America and Europe, head-to-head. So let’s get it.
Be sure to cast your votes in the survey below; But first, let’s look at the box art designs yourself.
North America

A large, a large and imposed character in the center phase and background with a large, imposed logo (with each other slightly covered by logo), North American design is really very crooks. We also love art style – very ’90s. In fact, we are a little surprised why it did not sell so well with such a good cover.
Europe

This is uhhh … different? Really good use of color on it, in fact. It stands out very much. However, the decision not to present any character is a strange. When it comes to films and games, they sell face. There are no faces here. Until you count the scary skull in the middle.
Thanks for voting! We will see you next time for another round of box art dispute.
