Caldigit Element 5 is a beautifully designed docking station with full power of Thunderbolt 5, which is still bare on the market. Nevertheless, Caldigit knows those who want the speed of Thunderbolt 5, who are looking for a great solution to maintain that speed everywhere.
When it comes to the wild motion of Thunderbolt 5, it is one of the best docking stations around. However, outside it, this dock is very standard, which needs you to provide you without adding more than a dozen used ports.
Caldigit element 5: pricing and availability
Caldigit Element 5 Thunderbolt Hub is available on its website, Amazon’s leading retailers and many other retailers, which is now shipping worldwide. You can pick up one for $ 280, which is expensive; However, it is worth noting that it is a brand-new technique with Thunderbolt 5, and the speed with which you can move with this hub is really impressive.
Therefore, if you are interested in some of the best transfer speeds available, which you will notice in your workflow, then this dock is a theft. If you do not notice speed, then this dock is probably not for you.
Caldigit Element 5: Unboxing and First Impression
Caldigit corrected it with this docking station. It is simple, it is strong, it is minimal, and it is powerful. It has simple packaging, which is a relatively simple tool as it is fitting. The package has only 5 hubs, a Thunderbolt 5 cable (of course), some rubber legs and power cable.
Something that I appreciate is that this dock is designed to be reversible. I have many docks in the past, which I have flipped around to line the ports in the way I want them, especially the computer in the port. Nevertheless, then I was left with the ports that I do not want to cope in the way, and the dock is either upside down, rotates around, or around the catwampus.
We cannot have this – that is why it is super good that Element 5 is made keeping this in mind. I can easily flip the side port on the computer to be left or right to the right, and if I want the Thunderbolt Port I want to face me then I can still flip things. Furthermore, if I wanted, the Caldigite suggested the danger to several units simultaneously to get more power (and port) out of its setup.

Caldigit element is 5 elegant and minimal, as I have said, but this does not mean that it is likely to break or break. This unit feels heavy and strong, as it will last long when it is used regularly. This helps to streamlinom my desk with your simple design, yet it can also fit without any problem for a portable setup in my bag or on the road.
One thing is worth noting that I really appreciate how the caldigite contains rubber feet, which helps prevent aluminum from scratching my beautiful wooden table. However, it cannot make everyone as excited as I am; In fact, I hope that most I am not as excited as I am about.
Caldigit element 5: in use
Caldigit element 5 has been amazing to use for the past few months. I have done this in my arsenal of gear for the last 120 days, and so far, it has taken every beating that I have thrown on it. I have moved the huge data load with it, I have run many displays, I have used it with Macos, Windows, Chromeos, iPados, Dex, and more. This is a great tool for me, even on my simplest setup, allows power when needed, and the ability to remove if not needed.
For my beefier MacBook and Dale Prevention I am testing, I have been able to appreciate the full 90W power output to charge these animals of laptops, and for low -demand laptops I am able to appreciate that it will not sink my complex with additional power, but what is needed to the tapper off and Olni.
Thunderbolt 5 speed still blows my mind around. I can promote mode up to 120GB/s, I can run up to 6200 MB/s SSD speed, I can run a double 8k 60Hz monitor on the right computer, and I can run all this from 180W power supply, while 90W supplies to a laptop. It is all a little crazy, especially how compact this dock is.
Of course, if you are on some Mac, you will not be able to take advantage of all the performance possibilities, but now it is old news. Talking about the old news, if I ever need to lick an old disc drive, even my Apple Super Drav, I can know that this dock will run it. It is fun to me that it is still a sales point in 2025, but regardless, it is good to know.
