The United ESA and NASA have distributed by the Solar Orbiter Mission A stunning new image of the sun And its corona. The sun-visiting satellite was originally launched in 2020, and in addition to the sun looking calm, it has been captured data affecting things such as our understanding of solar wind.
Today’s picture shows particles such as spoon-sugar caught in the magnetic field of the Sun’s atmosphere, weave their way in the dark “filaments” of cooler materials and burst active areas that emit solar flarers. The ESA states that the photo is technically a holistic of 200 different images, which is taken with extreme ultraviolet imagers, which is about 77 million km from the Sun. The EUI traditionally allows the tradition of the sun’s atmosphere or the traditionally unattainable parts of the corona to appear in the photos.
Solar orbiter regularly provided a clear look on our nearest star, and even offered insight into Venus because it has made its way to its current position to see the Sun. For more information on the image, and interpretive labels explaining the different regions of the sun, see ESA website,
