The canon imageprograf TC-21 is a large-format printer with a difference; It can also scan and copy. By adding a flatbed scanner to a 24-inch ink tank printer, Canon has created a three-in-one device that can prove to be indispensable for schools or small businesses that want to quickly and economically want to increase prints, or print the poster at the point of sales without PC.

The user -friendly design features the same chunky appeal as the other professional megatank model of Canon, scoring white plastic casting and large tilt with touchscreen display.
It is a very large unit because a 24-inch paper roll fits inside neatly where it is kept clean and dusty. Four ink reservoirs add to bulk, but given its widespread functionality, I would say that this printer is very compact.
When you compare multifunction imagprampraf TC -21M, the A4 scanner does not add anything to platton size, otherwise with the same print -only version called imageprograf TC -21, without ‘M’ for multifunction.

It is a three-in-one device so that you can print, scan and copy. There is no fax, but it has a lot of other features, rich in its wide format capabilities. Naturally, it has Wi-Fi with airprint, mopria and chrome OS compatibility, but it can increase A4 or small documents up to A0, or repeat a scanned image to produce banners or wrapping paper on paper rolls.
Alternatively, you can reduce your scan to make name tag or business cards. Originally, this versatile machine has a greater long list of paper-shaped options than your average wide-format printer.
The main tray has space for 100 sheets of plain letters or A4 paper, while large sheets of cut paper are loaded at once. The internal roll holder will take anything wide up to 24 inches. There is no output tray to collect your print until you buy alternative stands with integrated baskets for almost US $ 180 (£ 140).
There is no auto duplex mode, but printing from a thumb drive, or a convenient way to scan is a USB host port next to the touchscreen display.

Starting your new canon imageprograf TC-21m is like installing any inkjet printer, except that it takes two to lift it on the table. There is also the extra time required to fit a roll or paper, but the shaftless roll holder makes it quite easy.
The box contains four 70 ml bottles of ink that puts in the tank on the right hand side and makes the insect bottle to fill the wrong tank.
Touchscreen simplifies the setup process by telling you what to do next. To download the print app of Canon on your smartphone and use it, it is also faster to connect it to your local Wi-Fi network. Canon Imageprograf TC-21m: Performance
Canon imageprograf TC-21m was printed without a bottleneck and only an A4 paper jam was faced during my tests, which was easily cured. Overall, it scored excessively on use and print quality. Standard quality takes about two minutes to print the A1 poster, so it is not sharp, but the results are very good. It also has a draft mode that almost doubles the speed of print and the gift paper and such a slightly palar print quality is fine.
Canon’s single bubble jet printhead has a total of 4,352 nozzles that spray their four pigment ink on paper and produce detailed prints on 1,200 x 2,400 DPI resolution. It is equally adept at printing color documents on A4 paper, as it is on A1.
Four colors look bright and as pigment-based, they quickly dry up for smug-dwellers and long-lasting results. This is perfect for large maps, CAD pictures and poster-shaped graphics, where vivid colors look alive on plain paper.
With coated photo paper, you still find bright and wide images, but uncertainly, it does not achieve broad colors and natural shading of photo printers such as 12 -Ek canon imagepropography Pro -1100. It is certainly good to say that the Canon Imageprograf TC -21M has a strong all -round print quality.
The CIS scanner worked well and made it possible to blow the A4 test documents in A1 shape without any real loss of expansion. I can see how this application will be useful in a shop, or school setting where posters can be produced without the need of PC.
I found a testing scan to be used quite easy to use a printer touchscreen to convert a pattern once -which can be used as a wrapping paper. I did the same thing using Canon’s poster ace, which is an equally user -friendly piece of software that comes free with printers.
I have the only minor problem a practical. To assemble each printout, without an alternative stand or any detailed flap, you have to hold each print as it emerges and to dump them on the floor before the internal cutter sweep. The printer was easily resolved by taking them to a large table.
Canon Imageprograf TC-21m: Consumers ingredients
As a refillable ink tank printer, the canon imagprampraf is potentially very economical to run the TC -21M, which is important in a printer designed to run such large prints.
The box consists of four 70 ml bottles, which is about 6,000 letters or almost sufficient ink for the A4 pages. While a replacement canon PFI-050 is much cheaper than the multipack cartridge ink, it is quite expensive for bottled ink.

Canon Imageprograf TC-21m: Maintenance
Being an inkjet, the canon imageprograf is prone to drying the TC-21m and if left unused then to affect the duct, but it can usually be solved by running only a maintenance cycle.
Just enter the on-screen settings of the printer and choose one of the cleaning cycles to flush the duct. Below the front line, you may need to replace the PF-08 printhead and MC-32 maintenance cartridge, both are priced by canon as per the canon.
Canon Imageprograf TC-21m: Final decision
I enjoyed the print and banner of the bright poster -shaped with only the canon imageprograf TC -21M by blowing images on my integrated scanner. It proved to be a very versatile product with its broad paper size compatibility and two input options.
Touchscreen interfaces and bundled posterist software ensure that it is easy to use, and with scanner, front USB port and airprint compatibility with Wi-Fi, it is very well painted.
No, it cannot auto-duplex and it is better with graphics and line drawing than photos, but otherwise, strong print quality, and its bottled ink strength will make it an essential accessory in many shops, schools or studios.
