Clim wind laptop cooling pad: review

Clim Wind is a laptop cooling pad that is much higher than the average gamer. Although it cannot be the omph required by Pro Asports Players or Creative Studios, it is the objective for those who want to stop their CPU cooking while playing Cyberpank 2077,

It enables four fans to spin up to 1200rpm and comes in a range of colors, and is available from Amazon only $ 19.97 / £ 19.97 / AU from $ 49.97.

A large sales point of climm wind is how calm it is. In fact, the packaging describes it as ‘ultra silent’, which A) is fruitless, given that something is either silent or it is not; And B) is not really true.

    You may like

However, its fan noise is impressively silent – during the test, a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU is registered as a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU from a few inches to 58.5DB and 44DB from the height of my head. It is very calm as I have tested any laptop cooling pad.

I feel a little lukewarm about the design of the climms. On the one hand, its 16-degree angle is quite comfortable, even if I want it to have some different height settings, and its blue LED lighting is well understood. On the other hand, its build quality is not as much as some of the best laptop cooling pads, feeling slightly lighter and plastic, while the flip-up laptop rests on my wrist when I was resting them on my laptop. In addition, with all its notch and sharp angles, its look is a bit on the nose-it looks like a cyber-goth butterfly, which seems that it seems that it is less attractive.

But all this comes in second place after its main functionality-if it provides a game-changing cooling, does anyone care about what it looks like? Unfortunately, the climms do very little to capitalize on themselves here. It provides cooling, clearly, average.

Using our test laptop, I run a 15 -minute 3dmark tension test with air at my maximum 1200rpm fan speed, measuring how much the laptop temperature changed. It increased from 85F / 29.5c to 120f / 49C, a 35F / 19.5C, which I have seen the weakest cooling from any cooling pad that I have tested, which is different from 22.8c of the topmet C12 laptop cooling pad.

In its light, I can’t really recommend climate air – just a lot of equal value options that will keep your laptop cooler. The best cooling that I have tested individually comes from the Llano RGB laptop cooling pad, which I cannot extremely recommended, although it will not suit the budget of all $ 119.99 / £ 129.99 (Au $ 188.33).

If the price is your biggest priority, then liangstar laptop cooling pad is a great option; It is almost frosty as Llano, but the cost is just $ 19.99 / £ 20.99 / AU $ 66.91, which makes it a deal in my book.

Clim Wind Laptop Cooling Pad Review: Price and Availability

    • Now available
    • Retail from $ 19.97 / £ 19.97 / AU $ 49.97
    • Wide range of colorway is available

Clim Wind is now available from Amazon. It retails for low as $ 19.97 / £ 19.97 / AU $ 49.97, which you will find a blue-lit version tested here. Although it has historically decreased as £ 14.90 in the UK, it returned in December 2019, while the price has never been on the shore of the states, so we argue that you are no longer likely to get a better price for it.

If black with blue lights is not your thing, then there are many other, pricier colorways to choose. Red, cyan or green LED lighting, white metal and even options with plastic or even an additional RGB strip, are at a maximum of $ 29.97 / £ 29.97 / AU $ 149.97.

Should I buy a climb wind laptop cooling pad?

    Buy it if…

If you do not buy it…

How did I test Clim Wind Laptop Cooling Pad

    • Tested during two days
    • How cools our gaming laptop during a stress test
    • Check the quantity of your fans using sound level meter

I tested the Klim air using the standard laptop cooling pad testing process of Techradar. First, I used a thermal camera to install a baseline to measure the peak temperature of our resetter Helios 300 with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 test laptop. Then I took the laptop 3DMark stress test on the laptop with laptop cooling pad set for 15 minutes, which was set up to maximum speed before recording its final temperature so that I could compare its cooling against other products.

To test the amount of sound generated, I used a noise level meter to check the joint noise of cooling pads and laptop fans. I took two measures, one from a few inches away and one to achieve a sense of absolute and subjective noise levels made by a device from the height of my head (21 inches away). I also used laptop cooling pads in a series of scenarios, from gaming to day -to -day work to assess how much ergonomic and comfortable it was.

I have a lot of experience to help support my test. Not only I have reviewed a wide range of laptop cooling pads for techradar, I have also been a creative and an enthusiastic chawla gameer over the years, meaning that I am familiar with the struggle to try to keep the laptop calm during very CPU-intensive tasks.
