Codex of Chatgpt, an AI agent that allows you to hand over code and programming functions, is now testing a new feature that lets you choose the best solution.
Openai launched Codex in April, and is a great tool, but it is not close to replaceing entry-level engineers.
Openai emphasizes that Codex can help developers to achieve more by handing over their tasks to different agents, and a new update brings it closer to the expectations set by the company.
As release notesChatgpt Codex can now produce several reactions for the same task simultaneously.
This means that users can now detect several solutions, and choose the best approach rather than asking Openai to give another approach.
In addition, Openai has added some keyboard shortcuts and a page to find them.
For example, now you can open ⌘-/ on other platforms at Macos and Ctrl+/ by pressing. The update added a “branch” Query parameter in addition to the current “environment”, “prompt” and “tab = stored” parameters.
Here is the whole Changlog:
- A loading indicator was added while downloading the repo during the container setup.
- Support was added to cancel the works.
- Work fails during fixed issues setup.
- Fixed issues running up in environment where setup scripts change files that are gitigned.
- It is better that the agent understands how and network access reacts to access restrictions.
- The update rate of the text has increased, explaining what Codex is doing.
- The setup script period for Pro, Team and Professional Users increased the range of duration to 20 minutes.
- Polish Code Difference: Now you can click on a Code Def header to expand/collapse all of them.
Codex is based on Codex -1, a new version of Chatgpt based on the current O3 model, but has been adapted for coding, resulting in an increase in accuracy.

Codex draws codebase from Github, and it can write a new code, propose a bridge requests, and run each task in its own sandbox.
Codex is available with $ 20 plus membership.
