Contour design unimouse: two minutes review
The contour design unimouse is an ergonomic mouse with an adjustable design, allowing users to be correct fit to match their personal preferences.
It has a functional appearance, although it is smooth and ineffective to fit in any environment, whether it is a home office. The material also feels premium, from plastic chassis to texurized padding on the outskirts.
The form factor is large: greater than many of the best mouse options. This means that small -handed people can struggle to use it, although I can say that I found it the right size for me, and my hands are not particularly big.
The partition-gudgious design of the unimouse means that you can adjust the angle of the contact surface between 35 and 70 degrees, which was enough to provide me a meaningful difference in the grip style. However, those who are looking for a flattery, the more traditional situation cannot be found as per their choice; However, it can be argued that such users will not be in the market for ergonomic mouse in the first place.
The Kaj mechanism to adjust this angle can be quite rigid, which means that it does not operate all smoothly. Nevertheless, it remains completely stable while living in place, and I did not experience any WOB when using it.
These two points can also be made up of thumb grip. It rotates on a ball to allow for several aircraft of adjustment, resulting in a wide range of available positions. This allows you to keep the unimouse relaxed-a feature shares all the best ergonomic mice, and more comfort, stress-free experience.
The mouse buttons are large, and it is easy to use as a result. There are three of them, acting as a mid -click in the center (it also has a function in the scroll wheel), although this default binding can be converted into adaptation software.
Unimouse also has two side buttons, although they are kept too far, meaning that you cannot easily and quickly navigate between web pages, for example. The placement of the DPI button is also uncomfortable, when your hand is on the mouse, it is inaccessible, as it is away on the lower part of the body.
Unimouse can be customized using the contour design software tools, which are available for Windows and Macos, which allows for a pleasant number of productivity-based twicex. In addition to cursor acceleration and scroll speed, you can replace the DPI setting from here from here.
There are also a generous amount of options available with some media and system functions, including the ability to run applications of your selection. You can also create an application-specific profile for your ribind.
Additionally, keystrokes are assignable, with the option of maping several keys in combination with a modifier for a single button. Unfortunately, however, the scroll function of the wheel can only be assigned to control the volume.
There are other issues along with software. I experienced the crash on some occasions, and firmware updates for wireless dongle were suffering from unsuccessful efforts and disappointing pop-up notifications.
Thankfully, the overall performance of Unimouse is very pleasant. It glides smoothly despite its relative hate, as it is lighter than appearance. It is easy to activate the button and provide adequate response, although scrolling is slightly very pointed to my choice, there is a lack of accurate and simple action of other mouse wheels I experienced.
It also lacks a free-spin function, so you are locking at the rate that provides its notch. However, as mentioned earlier, the software allows you to change the scrolling speed, it still does not make it any smooth.
Establishing a wireless connection was not the most easy experience. After testing it on two different devices, one Windows 10 and other Windows 11, Unimouse failed to join the first attempt.
To work it, I had to leg and down the power button. I believe this is a minor issue, but if you plan to use Unimouse with several devices it is more upset.
On the note, it is also a shame that there is no Bluetooth option, which would have further enrolled the warm-switching between the equipment. However, I have to say that once I established a relationship between Unimouse and my equipment, I did not experience any gaps or issues with accountability.
After the entire day’s use, Unimouse dropped a single LED on its battery life indicator, meaning that it was 61–80% (I suspect that it was very close to the latter figure). Losing 20% after a day is not very impressive, but at least comes with USB cable for unimouse wired connectivity, allowing you to charge and work together.
At £ 87, Unimouse is more expensive than many other ergonomic mice. They may have high list prices, but often can be found with discounts, so it is expected here that the same will happen with Unimouse.
But Ace of the sleeves of UNIMOS is its physical adjustment, for example, the best ergonomic mice such as lift and MX Master 3S are also lacking. Combined with your software adaptation, it increases the unimouse to a better value offer, otherwise it will be, and an adjustable mouse may be understood for those who crave. Just make sure that you can fit your hand around it.
Contour design unimouse review: Price and availability
- £ 87 (about $ 100 / AU $ 170)
- Now available for left and right hand
- Expensive than rivals
Unimouse in the UK is now available directly available from contour design for £ 87, although we have seen it a little cheaper on Amazon. In the US and Australia, it is available for approximately $ 100 / AU $ 170 from Amazon. Right and left -handed variants are also present, and a wired model is also present, but it is only slightly less expensive.
This makes Unimouse quite expensive relative to other ergonomic mice. It mainly withstand a lot of competition, mainly from various lines of ergonomic mice of Loditech, such as MX and lift.
While some of these can have high list value, they can often be found with strong discounts. However, there is a lack of physical adjustment of Unimouse, which can swing for you how much importance you give to this quality.
