Dell announced the new Pro Max Plus laptop, which the company has filled with Enterprise-Grade NPU. This makes a top level option for an on-device AI application.
Pro Max Plus has Qualcomm AI 100 PC infection card, which makes it the world’s first mobile workstation with “Enterprise-Grade Assat NPU.” It offers NPU 32 AI-core and 64GB memory. This is enough to directly handle the type of large AI model that usually needs to run the cloud.
We do not know anything else about traditional glasses, but we know it will be one. Other models will not focus on advanced AI applications.
Dell says that this laptop is mainly for “AI engineers and data scientists”, and therefore it is closed at the declaration of pricing. Given glasses, this is likely to be very expensive for traditional consumers. It is coming later this year.
The company also revealed new server design and a new cooling system for these servers. Dell’s powerculin rear door heat exchanger (ERDHX) is an alternative to standard rear door heat exchanges. Dell says that it catches 100 percent heat generated through “self-contained airflow system”. It also suggests that this cooling can reduce energy costs by 60 percent compared to current options.
