I currently have 13 web browsers installed on my MacBook Pro.
Yes, that’s a bit much.
Some of those browsers only exist because I tested them, reviewed them, and forgot to uninstall them. On the other hand, other browsers are there because I use them regularly.
Also: I’ve tried almost every browser and these are my top 4 (spoiler: none are Chrome)
That’s right, I use multiple web browsers, each for a different reason. For example, I can do online banking/shopping with Brave because of the added security, and I’ll use DuckDuckGo or Tor browser for anonymous searching. For everyday use, I’ll open Opera on MacOS and get the job done. I have installed other browsers that perform different functions, but the issue is that I work with several, and switching between them can be troublesome.
This is where the browser picker comes in handy.
The browser picker makes it easy for you to switch between browsers by clicking a drop-down in the top bar and choosing which browser you want to use.
Here’s how the browser picker works:

From the top bar drop-down, select the browser you want/need to use. Once you select that browser, whenever you click on a link within another app, the link will open in the browser you selected. You can also copy a link to your clipboard and, from the drop-down, select to open that link in your chosen browser.
It’s easy to choose a new “temporary” default web browser with the browser picker.

You can also install browsers from the browser picker drop-down.
In other words, the app makes it quite easy to deal with multiple web browsers. For developers, administrators, and even everyday users, Browser Picker is handy.
Installing Browser Picker
Browser Picker is easy to install as it is found in the MacOS App Store. Open the App Store, search for “Browser Picker”, click the entry, and then click Get.

There is no cost to install Browser Picker, but you can purchase the Pro version for a one-time fee of $5.99. The Pro version gives you unlimited browser switching, faster browser installation, and unlimited link opening.
I suggest you take the free version for a test drive; If you’re impressed, pay for the Pro version.
Using the Browser Picker
Using the browser picker is almost as simple. Simply select the browser you want to use from the drop-down, and that will be your new default until you choose another browser.
That’s essentially what the browser picker does – it switches your default browser from the convenience of the menu bar drop-down.
There is also a clipboard option. If you copied a URL, simply open the browser picker drop-down and click “Open URL from Pasteboard.” Whatever browser you selected from the browser picker will automatically open the copied link.
If you’ve copied a link to your clipboard, click Open URL from Pasteboard, and the browser of your choice will open the address.

Need to open a link in a different browser? Select the one you want to use from the drop-down.
It’s really very simple and convenient.

And that’s all there is to the browser picker. If you work with multiple web browsers, you should consider the browser picker a must.
Try this little app and see if it doesn’t help keep your browser minions under control and make them easier to deal with.
