    Companies such as Google and Microsoft have equipped their productivity suites with AI features and assistants, while startups such as clickup and Readai have focused a lot on AI integration and construction of searching capabilities. In alignment with this growing trend of digital work suits with AI, on Thursday, Dropbox upgraded its AI search tool, dash, which was first introduced in 2023.

    The company is adding “Understanding” of a variety of materials to the dash, which means that users can search in audio, videos and images in addition to text. The company is also involving users to find users to find users who search for a person working on a specific project or seek a subject matter specialist.

    Last year, Dropbox unveiled the dash for business to allow enterprises to use AI search. This year, it is improving the enterprise tooling of the dash by adding support for IT to exclude some sensitive documents from the discovery results.

    Dropbox already Work to summarize documents using Its AI. With this new release, the company is introducing new writing equipment that take advantage of summary from various data sources to create new documents and presentations. The company said that these devices, which live in dash, can hit the information with emails, meeting notes and existing documents to make project plans, memo or brief. The main idea is that users will not have to jump from one app to another to read some information and add it to one document.

    What is more, the dropbox is adding new integration to the dash, including integration for communication devices such as slack, zoom, and microsoft teams, as well as creative equipment such as project management and project management and Figma, Canva and Cumin. This will help users find information in their projects on various platforms, according to the dropbox.

    As AI vendors release new AI models, companies working in productivity and workforce are realizing that AI is getting easier to see through a lot of information, to summarize it, and also generate new materials based on it. The challenge for these companies is constructing adequate facilities quickly by integrating with other platforms to keep its customers happy.
