They are designed to be less distracted than the current button, but it is still easy to see. While the design overhaul has proved to be controversial since its announcement, some – including their Devindra Hardawar of Angzet – like the new direction, even if it reminds Microsoft’s transport Windows Vista Aero design about twenty years ago.
As that said, as the release of iOS 26 Beta 2, Apple has already included some user response in the design, dialing back transparency to at least some places. What are the new and notable features of iOS 26?
The iOS 26 has a list of a laundry of new features. Among the most meaningful:
Phone app redigine: You will finally be able to scroll through all contacts, recent calls and sound mail messages on a screen. It also comes with a new feature called Hold Assist which will inform you when an agent comes on the phone so that you can avoid lift music and continue with other tasks.
Live translation in phones, facetime and messages: iOS 26 is bringing the ability to interact through a phone call or text message with someone else who speaks another language. Live translation will translate your interaction in real time, resulting in some stop-end interactions in examples shared by Apple during their presentation.
Voting in group chat: Tired of trimmed through hundreds of messages in your group chat. You and your friends will soon be able to make elections in group messages, such as which brunch spot you are eating or the car you are taking on a road trip.

Visual Intelligence: Similar to a reverse Google image search, this new feature will allow you to find anything on your iPhone screen. FaceTime “communication safety” facility: A new addition to iOS 26 seems to be facility “communication security” that prevents communication if and when nudity is detected. Which iPhones will be able to upgrade iOS 26?
Some iPhone models that run the current version of iOS – iPhone XR, XS and XS Max – will not be compatible with the latest upgrade. But any iPhone iOS 26 will be eligible for updates 2019 or later.
Not listed here, the new iPhone 17 models (or perhaps iPhone 26?), All are sure to be declared and released in September.

When will the final version of iOS 26 be released?
