- Belink Met adds port and storage without changing its Mac Mini’s footprint
- Choose between high speed or maximum 16TB storage capacity option
- Cool fan cooling and full port selection are offered in a smooth metal design
Belink Met Mini Docking Station Mac Mini M4 provides a smooth way to expand both connectivity and storage.
Designed to match Apple’s compact desktop, it attachs under Mac Mini, maintaining a streamlined footprint when adding additional functionality.
At its core, the Met Mini supports the Thunderbolt 5 with the 80GBPS data transfer speed, which allows for rapid external SSD performance and seamless device connectivity.
Model choice
The proposal has two models. Model A facility supports dual PCIE X2 M.2 slots and storage up to 16TB. Model B provides a single PCIE X4 slot that provides high speed for reading up to 6228MB/s, but with low total capacity.
It highlights the main defects of the dock. To reach a full 16TB, you need a version that uses PCIE X2, which is slightly less efficient than the X4 configuration. For most users, this is unlikely to create any real issue.
That said, he requires a large scale professionals working with files or fastest transfer speed that may feel pinch.
In addition to storage, the mate saves a full range of mini ports. These include 2.5GBPS Ethernet port, USB-A 3.0 port, a SD 4.0 card reader and 3.5 mm audio jack.
A Type-C PD port also allows power distribution for external devices that exceed the underlying 15W output of Mac Mini. Two Thunderbolt 5 Cable are included in the box.
A cool fan and 360 ° cooling vents help keep the system cool and stable, even during heavy use. The all-aluminum design has ended in silver to match Mac Mini and weigh only 250 grams.
The price of $ 279 (below $ 339) is looking at the Met Mini users to expand their MAC mini’s ability without taking additional space. This may not be correct, but it fills a useful role for additional ports and storage seekers.
