Finally, a smart ring does not have to charge me every night (and no membership)

    Key takeaways of zdnet

    • Ringcon General 2 is a membership-free smart ring that monitors sleep, exercise and stress.
    • It monitors your sleep, activity, stress and vital, and it has found a marathon battery life.
    • Only the negative side is that the user interface seems underdeveloped.

    More Buying Choices

These days most smart ring marathon claims to offer battery life, but often decreases with their promises. Many smart rings claim to be worth a week’s battery, but only make it five or six days before dying on me. What does their long battery have life compared to smartwatch, part of the appeal of Smart Rings?

Apart from this: I took a walk with the new Mata’s new Okle smart glasses – they defeated my Ray -Ban in every way

If you really want a smart ring with competitive battery life, I have found one for you. I am testing Ringcon General 2 Smart ring which claims 10 to 12 days marathon battery life. The smart ring comes with other allowances – and some shortcomings – which I will find below.

Right with the bat, Ringcon 2 has some green flags. Unlike the competition of smart ring brands with products that start at $ 350 and go to $ 400 or $ 450 all the way, this smart ring costs $ 300 – and there is no need to subscribe to get a full access to your health data. The size starts with six and the size passes 14, and you can get the ring in three colors: silver, black and gold.

The construction of the ring is more class than the circular, but I found myself unbalanced with this unique shape. It fits comfortably around my finger without any problem. Despite healthy and constant wear, the ring is not easily tarnished.

Ringcon General 2 comes with a case that already expands impressively long battery life, providing strength to the empty battery of smart ring for 150+ days. As is someone who is continuously charging several wearable equipment at a time, it is a long -lasting charging case that I can use the smart ring without taking it to an outlet, making me partial for ringcon.

Most smart rings offer daily scores for two to three important health matrix: sleep, activity and readiness. Readiness is calculated based on tomorrow’s activity, how you sleep, and other biometric data, such as how long your heart rate falls as you slept.

Ringcon General 2 measures your vital, sleep, activity and stress, but does not measure readiness. Instead of readiness, it provides a wellness balance feature. It takes all the above data and displays it in a graph like a flower, with long petals for biometrics that are recommended for those who are completing the benchmarks and small petals or more that are not.

When all your petals are the same length, it indicates that your welfare is in balance. I liked that I could see all the important data displayed in such a digestible and visible manner because I opened the app.

Hardcore trainers use readiness or energy feature on their smart ring apps to find out how intense their exercise diet should be for the day. If this is you, you may be angry with a wellness balance functionality, and I would instead recommend OURA ring, Ultrahman Ring or Galaxy Ring.

The app distributes your score with reference that helps to inform the argument behind your sleep or Vital score. While testing the ring, I was ill for one day and spent the whole day sleeping. For a long time I spent in bed, it told me that too much sleep can slow down my metabolism or lead to weight gain.

Also: Best Smart Rings of 2025: I tested and found a clear winner

Ringcon says that the battery on its second generation ring runs for 10 to 12 days, but in my test, I found that it ran only for seven. Nevertheless, it is much higher than the life of the battery of other smart rings, which I have tried, which lasts for four to five days on a charge. I can say without any doubt that the most influential battery of every brand I tried in this smart ring is life.

According to its website, Ringcon General 2 also includes Sleep Apnea Detection feature with 90.7% accuracy. If you are an old snorer who are looking to learn more about how your breathing affects you overnight, then sleep apnea facility can help monitor your situation and answer some of your questions.

This tells you that there are important or minor outlair in your sleep overnight, not only provide a graph, but also shows a timeline when your SPO2 is upsurized during night.

I wore Aura Ring 4 in the tendom with Ringcon Jean 2 and found that later I spend both times while sleeping and the steps I take throughout the day.

Too: Airpods Pro 2 are still on sale – here why they are valid in 2025

Both Ringcon and Aura ranked my sleep efficiency in the 87th and 88th percent. Aura said that I got 11 hours and eight minutes of sleep, while Ringcon said that I sleep for 10 hours and 50 minutes. Ringcon reported 11,091 phases, while ORA reported 15,259 phases. I have seen in various reddit threads that OURA reduces the ring step count, which may be responsible for great inequality in the stages between the rings.

In a healthy night of sleep, Aura recorded eight hours and two minutes, 94%sleep efficiency, and a sleep score of 90. Ringcon recorded 84 sleep scores, seven hours and 45 minutes sleeping and 91%sleep efficiency. In both cases, Ringcon is decreasing from my night’s sleep for about 15 minutes.

    ZDNET purchase advice

I enjoyed most of the aspects of wearing it Membership free smart ringAnd at $ 300 ($ 50 less than rivals), this is a smart ring that I suggest people who are looking for an option for OURA’s membership-based services. Especially if you want a smart ring with a battery life that will actually run a week before you recharge.

A region where I saw that the lack of a smart ring of ringcon was in its user interface. The app feels underdeveloped, and some messages lacked personal references that proved that they were arising from my own data. On the day of a good sleep score, when I clicked on the Sleep tab, it was said: “Good sleep makes you happy.” This is my only true grip, and I hope that recommendations can be more sewn and informative in future software updates.

otherwise Ringcon General 2 Comprehensive health is an impressive smart ring with metric monitoring that is at the cheap end of the smart ring spectrum. This accurately tracks sleep with features such as sleep apnea monitoring that can help you highlight your snoring patterns, a marathon battery life (as well as a charging with 150 days of juice), and a construction you can wear comfortably.
