And it’s led by Slovenia-based Chipolo, a tech company that has been in the finder tags market for over a decade (the company uses the term “finder” instead of “tracker”), and it has two tags specifically for Android users – a point fob for keys and card point For wallets and bags.
One Point is a fob that fits on a keyring or anything else you can think of adding a fob to – from your pet to your bike. It measures 1.49in/37.9mm and is 0.25in/6.4mm thin, and it’s splashproof to the IPX5 standard.
Powering the small fob is user replaceable CR2032 Lithium Coin Cell This should last for about a year. As for range, the fob is good for about 200 feet/60 meters if you want to activate it to play sound.
The card point is a thin plastic finder measuring 3.35 x 2.11 inches (85.1 x 53.6 mm) and is only 0.09 inches (2.4 mm thick) – about three times the thickness of a credit card.
Like the One Point, the Card Point is splashproof to the IPX5 standard and has a sound activation range of 200 feet/60 meters, but unlike the One Point fob, the Card Point does not have a user-replaceable battery. This may seem like a downside, but having such a thin card is a necessary compromise.

I’ve tested the finding ability of these Chipolo finders, and they are very accurate, with the ability to locate tags at a distance – such as when hidden in a plant pot on the street or when stuffed behind a sofa.
They’re exactly like AirTags but for Android users.

However, there is only so much testing I can do, so in an effort to get better and longer testing, I handed some tags over to someone who had a habit of putting almost everything in the wrong place. This provided these tags with a hardcore real-world test, and I keep hearing what a time-saver – and life-saver – they have become over the past few months. They are appreciated for usability, accuracy and longevity.
