Google Photo is currently rolling out Many interesting and useful upgradesBut, surprisingly, only for iPhones. These features, such as a re -designed photo scene, an upgraded action menu, and actionable “badges” android users will be “soon”. For now, here everything in Google Photos for iOS is new:
A light mode for the app
let there be light. Now, starting, Google photos will match your iOS theme, so the UI system will switch to light or dark depending on the settings. Apart from a mild subject, I do not do so much, because my phone is always on dark mode. However, this will probably be a welcome feature for many people who prefer to enable at least light mode during the day, not all the time.
Glenceable Photo Data
Google is also adding useful information above each photo you opened. This includes the date, time and the place where the picture was taken. This information has always been available, but you need to choose manually to see it every time. I particularly appreciate the fact that you do not need to click to see the geotag of a photo.

Right next to this glassable data, you will get an action button. When you tap it, you will see the following verbs: about, as Google lens, Create, Cast, Save (works for live photos taken with your iPhone), download or delete from the device.
Google Google Photo users noticed that some existing actions are missing here, but Google has not removed them. Those features are now under the add to (+) button at the bottom bar, which now allows you to arrange photos in album, collection photos or transfer them to your lock folder.
What do you think so far?
New ways to manage photo stack
You can also manage photo stack and burst mode photos by tapping the new action button next to the thumbnail of those photos. This menu allows you to remove the item from the stack, unstack the group completely, the multi-selection photo, which to apply actions to all, and replaces your top pick in the stack.
Better for quick actions
There are now some useful badges in Google photos for iOS that allow you to quickly change the category of a photo, play or stop a live photo, save shared photos in your library or back photos or manage your storage. These badges appear above the photo you are seeing and they allow you to execute the actions with a tap.
All these features are now available in Google photos for iPhone, but there is no firm timeline for the Android version at the time of writing. Google says that they will soon reach your Android phone, but do not mention the expected release date yet.
