AMID reports that Apple CEO Tim Cook is “passionate” with a pair of Apple Glass, rumor mill claimed that Apple’s smart glass version will feature Apple Intelligence.
When more serious for that rumor (May 8) came out today Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reported Cupertino company is developing new chips to power the future smart glass, Mac and AI servers. What is more, chip for apple glasses means clearly well in the way.
Since Apple dug Intel for its own homegron processor, more and more internal components have been developed in the house. Recently, Apple replaced the broadcom modem with his own C1 modem in the iPhone 16E.
The alleged glasses are based on the S chip used in the SOC Apple Watch, which requires less energy than the A and M processors used in iPhones and Macs respectively. Gurman claims that this new chip is adapted to become more powerful, as well as controlling several cameras that will facilitate glasses.
While AR has progressed with options such as Xreal One and Spacetop Glass, Apple is clearly chasing the meta strategy of non-AR glasses. The Apple version will use cameras to scan the world and AI to help you. He said, Gurman said that Apple has not yet settled on an attitude.
For those interested in a set of apple glasses, you will be waiting for a while. Chips cannot go into production until the end of 2026 or 2027, which means that as soon as we can see them in a pair of glasses, perhaps 2027 has fallen.
Mac and AI
According to Gurman, other chips in development will also provide strength to the future MAC -AI server, which will be used to run Apple Intelligence.
These new chips include M6 and M7 as well as an advanced Mac chip code. AI chips will be specially designed to improve Apple Intelligence for AI servers. Currently, the company allegedly uses M2 Ultra Chips to provide electricity to its AI server.
