Adata has introduced the world’s first SD 8.0 Express memory card, with a high-speed USB flash drive and a tool-free M.2 SSD attachment, targets mobile professionals and content creators who demand top-level portable performance.
Premier Extreme SD8.0 Express Memory Card has a PCIE Gen3 X2 interface and adopts NVME protocol. It provides 512GB storage and reads up up to 1,600MB/s and writes up to 1,200MB/s.
Those numbers for SD cards are not just high – they placed it in a straight competition with many best portable SSDs in the market. It easily dismisses high -performance microSD cards easily.
4K designed for raw, multitasking
Adata says that the card doubles the SD Express 7.0 speed speed and leaves UHS-I and UHS-II cards.
The Premier Extreme SD8.0 Express card is designed for durability, which offers resistance to shock, water, stable and extreme temperatures. This data also provides LDPC ECC error correction facility to protect the integrity.
With support for U3 and V30 Video Speed Classes and 512GB capacity, the card is aimed at the purpose of creators who require speed and reliability in compact form – especially for 4K videos, raw photography and mobile editing workflows.
A major limit is that the SD8.0 Express format requires a compatible reader to unlock its full performance. Standard SD Card Readers will not support their maximum throwing.
In addition to SD card, Adata unveiled UE720, a USB 3.2 Gen2 flash drive, which gives the reading and writing speed of 550MB/s and 450MB/s respectively. It is available in capabilities up to 256GB and has a compact, mobile-friendly design.
Rounding all three is the EC680 m.2 SSD attachment, which offers tool-free installation and transfer rates up to 1,050MB/s via Type-C interface. It is compatible with Windows, McOS, Android and Modern Gaming Console.
