Popular Battle Royal Game Fortnite has finally returned to the US app store amid the long legal clashes of the game maker Epic Games with Apple.
Till Tuesday, Fortnite is also available On the EU’s Fatal Games Shop and Altstore in the European Union. This will soon appear in app store discoveries, Epic said in a post on X.
After adding an option for people to shop in-game using the virtual currency of Epic for Epic, Apple removed Fortnite from the App Store in 2020, for which the company offered a 20% discount. Epic then went on aggressive and sued Apple.
A judge ruled in favor of the epic, it was found that the Apple was in the “willful violation” of the rules that barred an antocompotic pricing. Last month, the judge said that Apple should allow developers to collect payment outside the app store and not be charged fees on them.
After the verdict, the epic started again Fortnite for app store – But there was a delay in a approval. The company accused Apple of blocking the game from being live in the US and the European Union.
Earlier this week, US District Judge Yavon Gonzalez Rogers said in a filing that Apple should approve the submission of EPIC or show that it had a legal basis to block it. It probably tilt things in favor of epic.
The new version of Fortnite available on the app store provides 20% cashback to buy in-game items directly from Epic instead of using Apple’s in-app purchasing method.
