French telecom giant Orange reveals Cybrants

Orange, a French telecom company and one of the world’s largest telecom operators, revealed that it discovered a violation system on its network on Friday.

The settlement system was discovered and separated from the rest of the network by the company’s Cybercity Business Unit Orange Cyberdress on 25 July. This has led to some operational disruption, which mainly affect French customers, which are expected to be resolved slowly on Wednesday morning, 30 July.

“On Friday, July 25, the Orange Group discovered a cyber attack on one of one of its information systems. Immediately vigilant, with the support of Orange Cyberdhen, the teams raised perfectly to separate the potentially affected services and limit the impact,” the telecommunication. Said,

“However, these isolation works resulted in some of our business customers and for some consumer services, mainly some services and management platforms in France.”

Since detection of this cyber attack, the company has alerted the officials concerned and filed a complaint. In addition, its investigation team has not yet found evidence that any data was stolen during the violation.

The company said, “In this stage of investigation, there is no evidence to suggest that any customer or orange data has been removed. We are cautious in this regard.”

While Orange has not attributed the cyber attack for a specific hacking group or danger actor, the incident resembles a series of widespread violations by telecommunications providers in the United States and is associated with China’s salt typhoon cyber-gospel group worldwide.

The FBI and CISA confirmed in October that Chinese salt typhoon state hackers had dissolved many telecommunications companies (including AT & T, Verizon, Lumen, Charter Communications, Integrated Communications, and Windestream) as well as other telecom companies in other countries.

Last month, Comcast and Digital Realty Was also tagged As is potentially compromised by salt typhoon with satellite communications company Viasat, which also reveals weeks later that it was also dissolved as part of the same attack.

In February, Orange’s Romanian branch was killed by another cyber attack, the company confirmed a violation of a non-matched application, which after using a danger actor, after using Alias ‘Ray’, claimed that he stole thousands of internal documents in which employee data, user records, sources, selections, contracts and 380,000 emails are stolen.

Orange provides consumer communication services and commercial services to 294 million customers across Europe, Africa and Middle East, including 256 million mobiles and 22 million fixed broadband customers. The Orange Brand also provides IT and telecom services to multinational companies under Orange Business, 125,800 employees worldwide, and reported revenue of € 40.3 billion in 2024.
