One of the standout parts of the Galaxy Z fold 7 is how thin it is, but it has come at the cost of S Pen Styleus Support. However, Samsung has confirmed that it is working on a solution for future foldables.

In a statement for ETNEWS (Through Android authority), Samsung’s MX Business Division’s Executive Director, Kang Min-Sek said that Samsung “is doing research and development on thin and innovative technologies for S Pen, so we will rethink on (foldable stylus compatibility) when we increase the level of perfection and demand consumer.”

We do not know what this new S pen will take, but Alec Last year, it was reported that Samsung and another Korean company, Handeep, were working on a new type of stylus that would work without a digitizer. As stated by the Android Authority, it may mean the new pen will work similar to an Apple pencil, which will be using a combination of technologies such as onboard pressure sensitivity and tilt detection.

The thickness of Samsung’s Z fold 7 is no doubt, with only 4.2 mm measuring with the phone. However, making a phone that is 26% thinner compared to the Galaxy Z fold 6 comes with some major cavets, as there are some hardware that you cannot only adapt to being thinner including stylus digitizers, due to the qualities of durability requirements and the properties used.

While Z fold 7 cannot get much from any future pen release, the device has some other major benefits that will possibly help find a place as one of the best foldable phones. One of the standout features is an 8-inch OLED display, which is both bright and lively. The new 200MP is also the main camera and the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset. In addition, while it comes with some costs, the thin and light design of the phone should actually be considered.

For some time, we do not know when Samsung will bring this new S pen technology to the smartphone market, or which devices will provide support for it. For example, we have to wait and see what has been unveiled in the coming months.
