Owners of Garmin Fenix 8 are not interested in buying new gamin Venu X1 and Garmin forcener 970 watches – they already own one of the best gamin watches, after all.
However, they should have focused on those new launch. Venu X1 and Forerunner 970 arrived with both new features that were not yet on Fenix 8, such as economy measurement and running a smart alarm.
Those upgrade are now going to the Fenix 8, as well as with the Garmin Enduro 3 and Fenix E, courtesy of a free software update that is now available as part of the public beta program of Garmin, and will go on extensive release in the appointed time.
The software update has a total of 28 new features, as well as 30 fix and other improvements for watches. I have been testing Forerner 970 and Venu X1 since the launch and has tried new features for Fenix 8/E and Enduro 3. Here are those about which you should be the most excited.
Running tolerance
This is my favorite new feature from Forerunner 970. Running tolerance estimates how much profit your body can handle in a week based on recent training, and keeps in mind how difficult your runs are really.
For example, when I raced a flat-out 10k, and the effect was considered the effect of running 15 km. So my rapid effect for that week was more than my actual mileage – an auxiliary reminder who has more impact on the body.
You can use this feature to make your mileage slowly and safely, and make sure not to run more than running more than your body. While avoiding excessive or difficult races, which increases your risk of injury.
Evening report
Each evening your clock will now break your day’s activities and things like your stress levels throughout the day, and the sleep coach of the germining will suggest sleep from the feature, which basically says that you need less or less sleep than normal.

Running Economy and Step Speed Loss Tracking

Smart alarm
The smart alarm feature was initially launched on a gamin vivoactive 6 and it is also on the Venu X1, and basically track your sleep and when you are not deep or in REM, see you awake so that you don’t feel disgusting.
When you want to wake up, you set a 30 -minute window, and your watch will find out when you are in a light sleep and discuss you to awaken.
As someone who has two young children, I do not need an alarm over the years, but recently decided to sleep on my youngest rare occasions – usually when I need to be early – so I have tried a smart alarm.
I would not say that I have felt less rare when using it to wake up, but this can happen because it is heat and I am usually awake naturally quickly because it is light.
Once the dark days of winter arrive, it should be an easy extra for my watch, and it will be more useful for people with a low consistent sleep program.
Calculator app

Custom Focus Mode
Focus mode allows you to say what information you want in your watch, if any, if any.

How to get software updates
To get updates, now you have to enroll in a public beta program of germining through a gamin connect website. Navigate and click on your device page ‘Join the beta software program’.
This will give you access to the initial update, but it also means that you will not get the final versions of that software, so it can mean less stable performance, although I have no real problems using the program.
However, Fenix 8 is a negative aspect when using the program as a user. The ECG and dive features of the watch are disabled when using the current beta software, so if you want to keep those features then you have to wait for a full update.
