Mithun app got just a very useful upgrade – the ability to tell you more about the video you captured.
Earlier this year, Google introduced an ability to Gemini to analyze YouTube videos. This feature allows you to summarize the extended material or receive a step-by-step observation of a project.

Mithun’s video ability is expanding this week; Now AI can take a look at its own camera roll. Just upload a clip to Gemini, and you can get a summary to ask what is going on and to know more. You can also ask what is happening in a certain timestamp or in the specific sections of the video.
The feature is available for both Android and iOS, and in many models such as 2.5 flash and 2.5 Pro.
Chatgpt and other competitives offer similar abilities, so it is nice to catch Gemini.
How to analyze a video with Gemini
Here is reported whether you have a video upload capacity for Mithun.
Open your app and tap on the plus sign where you enter your prompt. You can choose to add a video from your gallery or files. If you can upload the video, you will be able to do it here. If you can’t, the video is gray.
When I checked for myself on Gemini 2.5 flash, I was able to upload the video.
I tried a simple sign of “tell me about this video” on a 30-second clip, I shot some wild horses that I saw on holiday. After about a minute to upload and analyze, Mithun identified that I captured the video (Kill Devil Hills, NC), and told me about the overall scene. It went to convince those things such as “the video begins with a young horse’s close-up, then out to show many other horses of different sizes and colors. They move around the sandy landscape, some rotate and some trotting.”
I asked Mithun what kind of horses in the video (I already knew), and Mithun correctly identified the breed and told me some paragraphs about them. I proceeded to ask some more questions about my video, and Mithun responded to each one in detail.
This feature is not yet available to all, but it is widely rolling out. If you do not have now, you need soon. Mithun does not yet have the ability to capture the video for analysis, but it is likely to be in the way.
