The Gemini app of Google is developing to be more active.
From today, some Gemini users may avail a new feature called “Scheduled Action”, which allows AI assistant to automatically handle recurring or time-specific tasks.
It was declared during Google I/O and now rolling out for both Android and iOS users, Scheduled Activities allow users to tell Gemini to tell Gemini what you want to do and when.
Now, whether it is a weekly blog churning, a daily news digest or one-time event reminder, Gemini can take care of you without asking you twice.
What are scheduled actions?
Similar to the functions of Chatgpt, scheduled actions indicate you within the Gemini app. You can say such things:
“Send me a calendar and email summary every week at 8 am”
“Give me 5 blog post ideas every Sunday.”
“Remind me about the appointment of my 2 o’clock dentist on Tuesday.”
Once you set a recurring task, you can manage it anytime from the Scheduled Action page in the Gemini Settings menu.
It puts Gemini in close competition with chat memory and third-party integration, providing a more individual and hand-off experience that Google says that will help users to “notify, induce and live”.
How does it compare chat?
The Chatgpt work allows users to schedule everything from daily reminder to appointments within the Chatgpt app. The reminder is then sent to the app as well as through email.
But what makes Gemini’s new scheduled activities competitive is that it is made directly in the app and works within the Google ecosystem, allowing users to automate recurring signs and receive active updates without workout or leave the Google scope.
This can be a game-shineer for those who regularly use Gmail, Google Docs and more.
Availability
If you are not looking at the prescribed work page yet, this is because everyone does not have immediate access.
This feature is now rolling out for users with Google AI premium membership or for qualified users of Google Westerman Business or Education Scheme.
This means that users at lower levels may need to stick to Chatgpt tasks for now; You will not see the prescribed work option yet.
However, knowing how Google often gives some of its best features for free, I can only assume that the rest of us will not wait for a long time to try it.
why it matters
Gemini has developed quickly with new live conversation features, video generation options and deep Google app integration. This latest feature seems promising and a user wanted for some time: correct automation without the need for third -party equipment or scripting.
Scheduled actions essentially convert Gemini into an individual AI schedule that is more than responding to signs and really recalls for you to act on them, it outlines that we are very close to the autonomous AI.
If you ever want your AI accessory a little more like a real assistant, it is a big step in the right direction – as long as you have the right monthly subscription.
